After 9 years working within various carpentry roles, finishing with the last 2 years at site management level for a Bristol based, High end design and build company. My experience in the trades so far covers many areas, such as : -First fix carpentry -Second fix carpentry -kitchen fitting -Structural works -Basic brickwork -Plumbing -Basic electrical proficiency -Reading drawings and plans, and understanding of planning permissions -Creative applications of all of the above What can set me apart from other tradesman is potentially my experience outside of the construction industry. I have been a keen musician for many years, I have a degree (albeit many years ago now!), I have worked as a chef for several years and have had years experience in customer service front of house roles, which has helped my dealing directly with clients in construction. I am know looking to start my own company, taking on my own jobs. I am looking forward to building good relationships with the clients in work with, and together coming up with the best most creative projects, that perfectly suit the client and the brief. I'm doing this since 2002 in UK - so that gives me 23+ years of expiriance in carpentry and joinery. My preferences are on second fix work , but during the years I've done my fare bit of work outside on a first fix projects (mainly roofing) . I have an eye for the detail , can read and work with drawings and allways try to finish my job in such a manner so even I like it ( if I like it there is a very good chance that you'll like it aswell ) .

Hi, my name is Iain. For many years worked as a farm/estate worker. For the past several years I worked for TH building and joinery as a joiner/ builder. Tom has now emigrated to Oz so I have decided to set up on my own. I am experienced in joinery/ kitchen fitting. Roofs and dormers, groundwork’s/drainage/ footings etc. limited experience in hot/cold water plumbing. Happy to have a go at most tasks but also happy to admit my limitations.
