Greg recently completed a full bathroom renovation for us including replacement of all fixtures, new tiling, painting and finishing. We're very happy with the final result - Greg was punctual, diligent and had great communication throughout the project. On top of this, he's a lovely, pleasant guy. HJC Carpentry offer more than just carpentry. My job (caused by serious damp damage) involved removal of plaster, damp-proofing the bare walls, fixing plasterboard and plastering with finish plaster. A void being allowed between wall and board as a prevention to future damp ingress. A number of joists had to be replaced, together with the entire floor (tongue & groove flooring). We used this opportunity to introduce 100mm insulation board beneath the floor which is situated over a void. The work was started at the quoted time and was carried out diligently and with due respect to neighbours. For the duration of the work I was ‘kept in the loop’ with regard to progress and the work was completed to schedule.

Ranking Lubi's work only "Positive" doesn't do justice to him or his work. Lubi was outstanding and professional from the day he quoted until he left, having completed his job along with dozens of additional bits that arose along the way and were not on the original job request. Lubi spent little over over a month on all of the wood-work including a full kitchen installation, door and window frames and skirting board for an entire three-bedroom flat. Without failure, Lubi arrived to work by 8AM having already done his materials shopping required for the day. Although this seems like a small thing, it perfectly reflects Lubi's character of being fully prepared in order to dedicate himself entirely to his job rather than having to make trips during the day to fetch materials - as many tradespeople seem to do, wasting valuable hours in the middle of the day. Lubi's work is to a very high standard and I never got the impression he was attempting to cut corners or rush his job to finish it quicker. This was evidenced as he removed all the doors once he was done to allow the frames to be painted, only to have to come back and hang them again a month later! Lubi has now offered to go above and beyond, and without hesitation return again to fix a wood flooring issue cause by a previous under-qualified tradesperson. I can wholeheartedly recommend Lubi and look forward to calling upon him for my next carpentry needs. A 10/10 carpenter, well worth the very reasonable price!!

Piotr was such a pleasure to work with - incredibly kind and polite, always on time, great communication, flexible with my grumpy neighbour and above all, takes great pride in his work which is really reflected in the quality of the work. I was desperate to restore my original timber sash windows which I knew were in great condition but found every other sash company just wanted to replace them rather than spend the time restoring them. I've learnt so much about sash windows from Piotr and all I can say is I'm so grateful that I found him rather than going with a larger sash company! My original sash windows are now looking more beautiful than ever and are fit for purpose, completely draft proof and double glazed. If you're considering restoring or replacing your sash windows please speak to Piotr - I can't him recommend enough. A real master in his craft - thank you again Piotr!

What a great experience we had with Louis. He is honest and gets the job done efficiently with great attention to detail. He did such a good job with our terrace. We had some problems that really needed a professional solution and Louis planned and executed it brilliantly. Instead of looking for excuses for things that could be a problem Louis had a great solution for everything we came across and was positive the whole time. Would highly recommend Louis, we already have him booked in for more jobs.
