It's a great pleasure and a relief when you appoint workmen to a job and you come home to find the work they have done is superb quality. I appointed IPS to the job because I trusted them. They were pleasant and appeared professional. They listened, had an eye for details and I felt I was in good hands. Which is what you want. Their communications were very good. |They arrived in good time and reviewed all aspects of the job before commencing work. They also made some helpful suggestions, doing all that we wanted and improving some things beyond what we had considered. They sourced gate furniture for us and it was good quality and looked just right for the setting (good judgment). Most of all, the quality of the build is excellent. Solid and good-looking. Paul put a 6ft gate up n fence in the back garden also put a 3ft fence and gate in the front garden. He chopped down a big tree in the front garden for me free of charge. He works fast came on the day he said on time. I have had loads of people coming to me for his number saying what a good job he has done and brilliant price. Hi. I am very pleased with the installation of the internal door. Simon arrived on time, did a lovely job, and vacuumed up afterwards. He was a very pleasant guy and I would have no worry in hiring again. (Maybe dustsheets would be helpful though)

Firstly Robert quoted for the job then added diesel money to the quote, a little unusual if I'm truthful, Robert arrived a little late, I'd text him to see if he was still coming when he arrived, he and set to work, I left him to it and he finished around two hours later. I paid and on further inspection the bedroom door handle wasn't working properly, not a great start, I had to dismantle the handle and clean out the swarf from the inside before it worked properly, both doors appear to have been cut a little small and don't fit all the way into the frame, they sit proud of the frame by 10mm or so, in my opinion the frame should have been chopped out and the door hinges fully recessed this would have pulled the door into the frame, this is the way my other three doors were fitted by another joiner. The long edge of the bedroom door also had what I can only describe as gouge marks in it, as though the tools he was using grabbed and tore the wood resulting in a rough cut, the top of the kitchen door is also very rough and the doors have been cut too small, from certain angles you can see light between door and frame when standing in the hall and looking into the kitchen with the door closed, I'm sure it shouldn't be like this the door fits closer at the bottom of the frame then the top where the fit is pretty bad, not good enough to be honest. I'm afraid I won't be employing Robert for any more joinery work within my home or recommending him to anyone else.

Chris of CDM did a very good job on the floor build-up for our ground floor flat conversion: including joists, insulation and damp proofing. Was able to fit us into tight schedule. Completed to spec, on schedule and at a fair price. Would hire again.
