Lewis responded to my advert for a bathroom re_fit immediately, keen as mustard to come and have a look. In fact, he came over on the same evening. Spent half an hour in my bathroom discussing ideas etc and he left me with two brochures, said he’d have a quote over to me within a couple of days and…..nothing. A few days passed so I sent him a text asking how the quote was going which he didn’t have the manners or the balls to reply to and just say he wasn’t interested in the job (which would have been completely fine- it’s not like he’s the only bathroom fitter out there). It’s been almost a month now and not a word. So Lewis , it would seem, is just another un-professional, ill-mannered, time-wasting tradesman. I wouldn’t let this fella into your home and waste 30 minutes of your time let alone consider giving him any work.

We needed a total renovation of our downstairs shower room as it transpires that the person who had put this in originally had done a proper botch job - this was not going to be the easiest job! Rob was brilliant. Turned up on time for appointments to give quotes, was readily available to talk through any concerns/issues/advice throughout the process and was flexible to allow for unforeseen delays. His quote was more than competitive compared to the others that offered for the job and we are very glad to have hired him. He is polite, approachable and trustworthy, enough to leave him with a back door key for 2 weeks so he could let himself in and out. He goes out of his way to help with other odd jobs that come up/require handy-man or builder know-how, and always made sure the work completed was right and not rushed. He wouldn't go ahead and complete work if he felt something wasn't going to work, instead making sure that everything was going to be how we wanted it. He really does go above and beyond. Would definitely (and have already) recommended him to a number of friends and am looking forward to hiring him again when we have more money for renovations!

I hired David Edwards for a project that was meant to take 6–8 weeks. Over a year later, the work remains unfinished despite me paying £5,000 of a £5,800 contract. Communication has been poor, with long absences from site and constant excuses. He repeatedly changed what my payments were supposed to cover, demanded money upfront without providing receipts, and some receipts later provided were for items I had already purchased myself. The workmanship is substandard — loose tiles, unfinished sills, poor grouting, paint smeared on windows, render already peeling, doors not replaced as agreed, and many areas left incomplete. He still insists the job is “finished” despite extensive photographic evidence proving otherwise. I now have to hire other tradespeople to correct and complete the work at further cost. In my experience, David Edwards has been unreliable, dishonest, and unprofessional. I would not recommend him.

Absolutely fantastic service. We had a complete bathroom renovation, including moving plumbing and Olympus gave us a great price. They were professional, friendly and the quality of their work was outstanding. They were very respectful of our home, very clean and worked diligently. They worked exactly to the timeframe they provided at the beginning and there were no squabbles over agreements. We will definitely be calling on Olympus to carry out any other work we need doing and highly recommend them to anyone.
