With over a decade in the construction industry, I began my journey as a labourer driven by a passion for learning and growth. For my first five years, I’ve specialised in residential projects including house extensions, loft and garage conversions, as well as bathroom and kitchen renovations. During this time, I completed a plumbing course with a focus on central heating systems and wet room installations. During the pandemic and the slower period that followed, I adapted by working in new-build developments as a subcontractor, primarily as a dry liner. My responsibilities included timber and metal stud partitioning, built-in wardrobes, insulation fitting, and plasterboarding walls and ceilings. I also achieved an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Interior Systems during this time. After gaining a wide range of skills and certifications, I returned to what I enjoy most—working directly with homeowners. I trained at colchester Institute from 1982 to 1986 and passed my plumbing and heating Craft and Advanced craft City and Guilds. I have over the years taken many courses , Solar thermal, ground source, air source, Oil (oftec) and gas safe, I am currently gas safe registered. I trained at a local building company where I gained many skills other than plumbing and heating. I started working on a self employed bases when I was 21 and in 2000 started my company AQuaheat (east anglia) Ltd. I employed both PAYE staff and subcontractors over periods of time. Designing and installing bathrooms, & heating installations in both small and Semi commercial premises. I enjoyed working with a local prestigious small hotel and restaurant chain in the local area for over twenty years . Designing there heating requirements, bathrooms, spa's , full hotel requirements together with the emergency maintenance that occurs in a busy hotel restaurant environment . Over the last 5 years I have been taking on more building works, extensions, loft conversion, Full refurbishments .
