Great price, communication and general helpfulness. We feel so lucky that we found Ian. His communication was excellent the whole way through the project, letting us know when to expect documents etc. His quote helped us understand the whole process of applying for building regulations and all the costs that the renovations to the house would involve in these early stages. He also prepared a pricing document that we can give to builders to help us get an accurate quote for the works. We made several changes to the design and he accommodated each of these patiently and even prepared two designs so that we can compare the costs for both. He also included free site visits in his work. We're very happy to recommend him.

Alicia did exactly what we wanted - she produced all the planning documents for erection of a canopy roof over the side access (council is very picky in our particular area) and drove the process end to end, right up until the point when we had council's approval for works. We commissioned Unit 3 to carry out concept designs, detailed design and technical design stages for a two story rear extension in Cheshire. The design brief was to have a combined living/kitchen space, create an extra bedroom and enlarge the existing bedrooms and family bathroom whilst creating lots of natural light. Martin's talent was evident from the concept sketches, exploring options we hadn't thought possible. After listening to our "must haves" and getting to the bottom of our lifestyle and daily routine, we soon developed our perfect design together. The quality of work has been exceptional and unlike some of the other architects we approached, Martin was able to turns designs into reality via 3D generated images. He even created an augmented reality of our house! Martin's professionalism and dedication to our project has made the design stage a real success. Meetings have been at times to suit our busy schedules, most being in the evenings or weekends at no extra cost. We have also met for a couple of drinks together at locations that have helped to inspire the developed design from interesting lighting to exposed rafters. Above all, maintaining communication with Martin has been extremely easy, he replys to all queries and requests in a very prompt and efficient manner. We did not have to chase anything and he has always delivered on his promises. The planning stage was successful due to Martin's hard work, committment and ability to liase well with the planning officer producing a design that was felt to be impressive by all! We would not hesitate to recommend Martin and Unit 3 to anybody and will definitely use them again for any future ventures.
