Get in touchWe have been working with Gary from late 2022 to design a new ‘oak framed’ extension to our house. We initially gave Gary a brief of what we had been thinking about, but we also asked him to be creative and open our minds to new ideas. The concept designs he produced were fantastic, they shaped our thoughts, opened our views about what we wanted, but also narrowed down some of the big decisions we needed to make to come to an agreed concept. Gary also managed the whole planning approvals process as he finalised the detailed drawings and plans. He has also helped us select a skilled builder who is now undertaking the work. We are very grateful to Gary for his experience and skills as an architect, and we also very much appreciate that he listened and advised us on the key areas that matter. I am a self employed Carpenter based in Melton Mowbray who is passionate about all areas of woodworking. My website shows various photos of recently completed projects including external works such as decking, bars, and planters, as well as internal works such as bathroom fittings and wall art. I am obsessed with planning and preparing a job properly as this makes it run much more smoothly when it comes to start. Any elements of a project that can be made off -site I will make in my workshop reducing the amount of time I need to spend at a customers property. If required for larger projects I will provide detailed plans or 3D drawings to a customer for approval prior to starting.
- Get in touchDan is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dan designed a ground floor extension for us starting back in 2022. He was very approachable meeting both in person and online to discuss our needs. He was very patient with 2 building novices, explaining what was (and was not) possible. From the start Dan was clear on what his costs would be and delivered in all in a timely fashion. Part way through we decided we wanted to add a porch, which was no problem for Dan who produced plans and rendered drawings that allowed us to better visualise the look. Once we have decided on the design Dan produced the detailed drawings, helping to submit planning permission and offering suggestions for structural Engineers and building Inspectors. Even once the building work had started Dan was still engaged and happy to discuss the project with builder. Dan made the process easy and would fully recommend him.Latest review:
