Of the 3 quotations we obtained (all very close in price) we selected them based on the fact they seemed the most thorough when understanding our requirements. During the 3 weeks work they kept us informed of progress, asked the questions they needed to in time to make the alterations.changes. They also made suggestions of changes to enhance our plans. The ordering of materials was easy and they left receipts and change for any cash buys they made during the day. The project was knocking 2 rooms into one, stripping back to a shell, blocking the original patio doors & installing new windows and doors. Complete kitchen fit-out with electrics, ceilings, decoration and floors. Also removal of the old kitchen at the front, stripping back to shell and leaving a blank space all white ready for decoration when we decide what to do with it. Get in touchHighly recommend Tom. Friendly, professional and puts the customer first throughout. Was quick to respond, engaging with advice and plans, ensuring I understood every step of the way. I've never had a tradesman so good, was a pleasure having Tom to do the work. Great attention to detail, flexible and not phased by my additional requests, taking the time to address all my design concerns and always leaving the area tidy when he left. Look forward to using him again! Fitting 2 RSJs, Conservatory wall replacement, new ceilings downstairs, plumbing and electrics for new island. Was very understanding that there were elements I would do so he helped me loads and left me in a great place to paint and fit the island (which is why photos are unfinished).

Rating: 5 out of 5 5566 reviewsGet in touchI had very high hopes for M&D Builders. Unfortunately, they in no way lived up to expectations. I am writing almost a year on from when they began work on our house, and we are still having problems. The quality of work completed was adequate for the most part, although minor issues like wonky kitchen doors and untidy finishes let them down. Of larger concern was their shockingly poor communication and organisational skills, which left us with our house as a building site for far longer than necessary. In addition, several of the subcontractors they used failed to live up to expectations: the plumber caused several leaks and significant damage, the joiner who installed the kitchen damaged multiple units and chipped the worktop in numerous places, and the electrician fitted unsuitable extractor fans. Considering the amount of time, money and effort that my husband and I spent on this project, I am still upset by the experience. Fingers crossed, I won't be forced to waste any more time attempting to deal with unresolved issues caused by M&D Builders in the future.Latest review:Restoration & Refurbishment-
