Close the window and check the compression around the perimeter. The sash should close without excessive force, and the seal should be visibly compressed uniformly around the frame.
How to Replace a Rubber Seal on a uPVC Door
The process for replacing the rubber seal on a uPVC door is the same as for a window, with a few additional considerations given the door's size and the additional seals involved.
uPVC doors typically have a compression seal around the door sash (the opening leaf) and often a secondary flipper or wiper seal at the threshold. Both may need replacement if the door is draughty.
The main practical difference is scale - a standard uPVC door has significantly more perimeter than a window, and the weight of the door means it doesn't flex. Ensure the door is fully open and secured before starting, and work systematically around the full perimeter rather than trying to reach around the door while it's partially closed.

If the door or window is visibly sitting unevenly in the frame - one side touching the frame, the other leaving a gap - the hinges may have dropped or the frame may have moved. Worn or failing mechanisms:

Failed glazing seal:

How Long Do uPVC Window Seals Last?

Had a brickie that built a cavity wall with insulation, however he left the inside wall a little bit higher than the outside wall. New window is due to be installed and need a cavity closer put in, however the 2 leaves are not aligned. Is different levels between the inside & outside wall correct? if so, how to go around installing cavity closer?

when our house gets heavy rain, we seem to get leaks around the bottom corners of our windows where the paint work on the window sill turns brown and our walls get stained with water. i’ve had two window fitted out to try and figure out the problem and they haven’t been very helpful and haven’t been able to give me a solution. i wonder if anyone could help? is it a case of just resealing all the exterior frames?
