Rating: 5 out of 5 5520 reviewsGet in touchI have been in the building industry since leaving school in the mid 70s. I first started out learning all aspects of groundwork, and progressed from there over the years.
Nice overall job, gave a reasonably priced quote, turned up exactly when they said they would, did a quality job and charged the price agreed. Overall very happy, PeterLatest review:Stonemasonry- - SPB Stoneworks ltdStonemason in Reading

Get in touchI have been a stonemason for 23 years and have a vast experience in the industry and have run my own company for many years mainly specializing in monumental stonework and refurbishment work on Grade 1 listed buildings and Churches. I have worked mainly in cemeteries installing new and old memorials and renovating old existing memorials. I have worked with all types of stone including granite, marble, Portland, York stone, slate, bath and many more. Cutting, cleaning, preparing and renovating. I have NVQ level 2 and 3 in masonry work but mainly 23 years of experience. I am a member of BRAMM and NAMM and have been part of the guild of master craftsmen. I have worked on bigger projects with larger companies both as a mason and advisor. I work well as an individual and part of a team where required. I have previously been CIS registered and can re-register at anytime if required. I always have a fully stocked van and tools for when ready to work and also have a workshop equipped for most masonry work. Some of my bigger projects have been involving ashlar walls , buttress re-builds in flint and bath stone and working in churches on Portland alters and windows/doors.

Well, first he contacted me for the job and then show up the place for the quote. We agreed on the work date and he didn't show up. So I called him what happen and he said he forgot. How could you forget your job? I didn't say anything and we rearranged it to next week. Then he called me saying that he was not feeling well and needed to isolate and would contact me again when he is ready to work. After 2 weeks has passed, he didn't call, So I called him how he was doing and he said just a man flu and painting his house with his wife. He could start the job in week and then again on the day, my tenant called me saying no show. I had no communication what so ever before that and tried to reach him again. This time he didn't reply to my call or text. How unprofessional and unbelievable. Not once but 3 bloody times. IF he doesn't want the job, say it openly and honestly. Instead of giving me false hope and I feel sorry for my tenant who just kept waiting for 3 times without going anywhere in her day off. So the whole Aug and Sep, I have wasted and still nothing is done. So finally I gave up and hired someone and the guy did it within 2 weeks and only £50 more than his quote. I am happy to pay even more than that. I don't like giving negative feedback and I understand that this is people life and their job but this guy David Randall is just beyond unprofessional. How would you feel when you are on the date and the guy never show up? Not once but 3 times. Imagine that.Latest review:Handyman- - BBM CONTRACTS LTDStonemason in Reading

Rating: 5 out of 5 5531 reviewsGet in touchI have extensive knowledge and experience in my trade and I pride myself on being a Mason as opposed to a 'jack of all trades', so if you are interested in a garden wall being built, or just a bit of pointing on your property. Please feel free to contact me.
Albert has just completed repointing the front of my grade II cottage in lime mortar and the quality of his work is outstanding. I had the pointing done just a few years ago but the prior tradesman used the wrong mix and the render quickly turned to dust. Albert clearly knows what he is doing and the finish he achieved was far far better than the prior guy. I am very pleased and would certainly hire Albert again and recommend.Latest review:Stonemasonry- - FE Decking and LandscapingStonemason in Reading
