Bradley built us some bespoke understairs storage drawer units, panelling for our hallway, fitted our kitchen and utility and laid our wood flooring, as well as being part of the team working on our extension. He did an excellent job and paid a lot of attention to detail. He's a talented carpenter and builder and we're very happy with all his work. We are especially pleased the understairs storage which he created from scratch and worked out what was needed. 55205 reviews Get in touchI have been a carpenter since leaving school in 1990. I completed my apprenticeship at Reading College (TVU). I have a good knowledge of many aspects of carpentry from 1st & 2nd fix , new build works , domestic alterations and refurbishment.
Seemed a nice chap to begin with, but as soon as you have any issues, that changes. When Martin finished, he says I was on a call so couldn't say bye (fair enough) but could have left a note or sent a message, because when I discovered he had left and I looked at the work, I genuinely thought he had gone to the shops or something as it clearly wasn't finished. We had a door from the garage into the house put in with a step, which was left loose. When I questioned this he said that it was an option and he thought it was a nice idea. This doesn't make sense as this was part of the job I asked to be done, which he charged for and included on his invoice. There were other issues which made it look like a rushed job. He fitted the wrong lock, blamed the retailer but must have noticed and tried to get away with it as it clearly said "3 lever" on it when he quoted for 5 lever. There was something else I wanted doing which he basically said "not my job" so I agreed to pay extra for. He never came back to me with dates on when he could do it and ignored my texts when I chased. When he finally agreed to come and do it after I called, he texts at 9.10 when he said he'd come at 9 saying "running late" (yes I can see that) can I come at 10 or on Monday, so I said yes 10 is fine, then he says sorry Monday is better for me, I have jobs to do around the house! I questioned why I he said he would come then and he blamed a flat tyre. They have finished work on time and with good finishing. John did a superb job in replacing stair rails and spindles, so now the staircase is a real feature of my home. John and Neil also fitted new internal doors and skirting etc, and made good some mistakes from previous tradesmen as well. They were very friendly, worked hard, and left the areas clean and tidy. Any issues were communicated promptly and solutions discussed. All of the team were really mindful of keeping mess to a minimum, and always tidied up at the end of each day.
