After posting the job, Charles arranged a visit to get details to put a quote together. He turned up on time, was polite and quickly understood what was needed. His quote was comparable with others but Charles' level of knowledge stood out. The work started on the agreed date with Charlie (Charles' son) carrying out most of the work. He was very respectful of our house, lay floor protector and worked around our family with school runs etc. Charlie arranged for plumbers, electrician and plasterer to carry out their part of the project at the appropriate time. Any problems we're overcome with solutions and no request was too much. Drew and his team were spot on. Very solution oriented, very high quality of work always positive to get the job done. Some small issues were always communicated, talked about and found a solution for. Very detailed, goes extra mile to make sure everything is done correctly, properly fitted and working correctly. Good price with never any excuses for adding extra onto the final invoice. I have no hesitation in recommending Drew, Kev, Lee and his team. I’d be looking to use Drew again in the future. Absolutely horrible experience. Promised a job to complete in 1 week and took almost 2 months, and then left incomplete and the guy disappeared. Haven’t been let down like this ever before. Constant lies and excuses. Workers don’t show up, don’t have any professional qualification or experience. Basically handymen taking a stab at every trade of work. Workers also don’t speak English so all communication is broken. The main person Marek showed up to the job first 2 days and then left it all to his workers. One of the trade workers was smoking in our apartment, one got hostile when asked not to do something. Upon searching the history of the person, seems like they have started and closed many companies before. I will be raising this to trade standards. I hired IAS GROUP in May 2024 and gave them a clear budget to work within. Paul acknowledged it was tight but assured me the job could be done. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Instead of communicating properly about any budget issues, they went ahead and made a complete mess of the house, forcing me to redo the entire place. Whenever I asked for an update, Paul constantly made excuses, saying he was at a wedding, out with family, or otherwise unavailable. He rarely answered my calls, making it extremely difficult to get any clarity on the progress. Despite the work not being fully complete, he still demanded full payment and even threatened to take me to court if I didn’t pay. To top it off, he was eager to hand the keys back without giving me a chance to properly inspect the job. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I cannot begin to express how brilliant John and his team are. I hired John to lay floors and build a unit. We live in an old property with several issues. John put me in touch with a plaster specialist, a plumber and an electrician to cover the extra work. This helped us cover all our bases with our renovation. The quality of work from everyone was outstanding . I recommend John and his team so highly, I can’t show all the work but the flooring , skirting and unit he built bring me joy every time I walk into my beautiful new office space .
