Really good quality work completed efficiently. Jacques was promt in providing a quote for the job and ofered a fair price. Work was done quickly and was left very tidy after. Initially i employed Jacques for a full bathroom refit (including tiling, plumbing replacement of all apparatus, building an internal wall and filling in a door way). I was so impressed with his craftmanship, work ethic and knowledge that i extended his services to include: Entire removal of kitchen from one room and construction of new kitchen (including plumbing, gas and electricity) in a new room. Re-laying a new floor which included providing sound insulation to the entire flat. Installing spot lights across the flat. Plastering and making good all wall damage from the removal of the old kitchen. Jacques worked diligently and was frequently at the property over the weekend in order to meet his proposed deadlines. I am very happy with the end result of all of his work. I couldn't have asked for more. 100% happy. Jacques has also come back to the property to fix a small number of problems with the fixtures that i purchased. I am a strong believer in specialisation of labour. I work diigently at my profession, investing considerable time and effort in my clients and i expect to be remunerated accordingly. For all of his investment and effort, Jacques should expect the same. If you are serious about obtaining a professional and high-grade service, then hire Jacques. I suspect many of the previous reviews who are ''unsatisfied'' have undermined Jacques commitment and professionalism by not sticking to original payment plans or interfeering with his work.

Please stay away from this FRAUDSTER!! I asked Jacques, as other people describe him as well an apparently likeable chap, to perform a series of jobs for my property (repaint the walls, change the floor boards in the living room, re-tile the terrace). He finished about half of the work, took the money for most of it (left my place a mess!) and then literally disappeared - I have called him for the past week, several times a day, the phone rings and he does not pick up!! I am now angry and frustrated, stuck with work unfinished and no invoice. As I said, do not use this guy! You have been warned. Enrico

Jacques completed this job for me and I was very pleased with what he managed to achieve in such an awkward space. Major positives were the price and the fact that the original quote was stuck to and the amount of advice that he was able to provide. I was also impressed that although the work ran over schedule slightly, due to factors such as damp walls or that he custom built a bath panel for me, Jacques worked 6 days in the first week and 7 days the following week in order to finish the job before I went away for a few days the week after. Would definitely recommend and will use again if relevant jobs arise.

Jacques completed the job to my satisfaction, he changed the elements in my heater, replaced the silicon around the kitchen worktop and sink and he also replaced a pipe underneath the kitchen sink. What I also appreciated very much is that he came on site to give me a quote, before I decided to give the job to him a couple of days later. A couple of things left a bitter taste for me though, one is that he snapped at me when he was having difficulty removing the old elements and he said something like 'Can you let me get on with this, I cant work with you over my shoulders'. Now, I was never checking on him all the time, at all. I was sitting at my computer and every now and again I would go and see how he was proceeding. After all, it is my house and also I've had a bad experience in the past when I left workers completely on their own. Secondly, after the job was completed, Jacques informed me that the gate valve by the heater was not longer closing and needed replacing. So I am now left with a valve that needs to be replaced, but was perfectly functional before then.
