Before hiring Jacques we had already had another tiler in to tackle the job.Regrettably we had to ask him to stop works due to the very low standard of his tiling.This is when we turned to My Builder and hired Jacques based on his visit and assurance that he would be able to sort out the existing bodged works and offer a good quality finish/standard.Most of the previous tiling done was taken down bar 2 walls. Jacques went over his original timescale by a few days, and it would seem that perhaps he rushed when it came to finishing stages,ie.grouting and silicone. Aside from the poor quality of the grouting, most of the chrome tiling trim used looks quite terrible! Inside corners are not properly mitered and even on straight edges where there is a seam there is usually a very visible step or gap between the two separate trim strips! Before fully finishing the job,Jacques,asked if we could fully pay up and he would return to finish up the various bits still left to do. We understood that he had another job waiting to be started,so in good faith we paid up in full and trusted him on his word. Several months,numerous calls and text messaged later still no sign of him. It has gotten to a point where he is now simply ignoring our calls/voice mails/txts, and we have giving up all hope of him ever returning to finish the job.Going on from our own experience with him,i would say that he is a likable character,but i would not use him again nor would i recommend his services to anyone.
