I was recommended Scotia (Tommy) by a friend, and was not disappointed. He was extremely honest and helpful when assessing what needed done to solve the damp (and woodworm) problem, and was very accommodating to our tight time schedule. The job was carried out without any problems whatsoever, and very professionally. What's more, he saved us a heap of money, that some of the larger companies were trying to charge us for unnecessary procedures which would not have helped our situation. Overall, not a bad word to say, fantastic value for money, highly recommend.

Scotia, and Tommy did an excellent job for us. The task was damp proofing a basement which we were told would potentially cost five figures. Tommy came to quote for the work and when they opened up the wall he discovered that it had already been carried out and the room just needed to be dried out (the property had been empty 18 months). He saved us thousands through his honesty. The cellar also needed damp proof work carried out which was done to a very high standard. I would strongly recommend Tommy as an excellent specialist.

Tommy and his team treated the rising damp in our new flat. They finished the job even quicker than expected and were always professional, friendly and great to deal with. We will be hiring them again for any further work we need done on our flat (it's a work in progress!)

Once contact was made, Tommy the plasterer arranged a viewing appointment to assess the job. He gave me great advice about how to proceed then turned up bang on time and had the job done inside two hours to very high standard. Tommy and his team undertook some damp proofing and painting work for us in July/August 2013. Tommy came out and gave us a really competitive quote and started the work 3 weeks later. We had damp in 4 rooms in our newly purchased flat, and had had a number of contractors provide us with quotes, none of which came close to Tommy's or came with such a long guarantee of works. The damp turned out to be a bit more extensive than originally thought, with a number of patches hiding larger areas of damp. Despite this, Tommy and his team stripped everything they needed to back, found woodworm (which wasn't expected) and took it all in their stride, treating the woodworm at no additional cost. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend Tommy and his team, he always kept in touch with progress and always had time to answer the million and one questions my fiace and I fired at him!
