Review from trishi, Woodford Green Review left on 19 Feb 2017Rating: 5 out of 5Bathroom repair and refurbishAnthony has good communication skills agreeing in advance what’s needed, approximately how long it would take and could cost. During the job he provided regular updates including daily texts confirming what has been done, how many hours spent and clarifying any open questions as well as regular emails with pictures showing what was being done. This meant that when additional requests were added or as problems came up during the job they were dealt with efficiently. This did add to the total above the estimate but was agreed as we went along. We wanted a good, professional job without any headaches - and that’s what we got.Review from Customer of Decorum Properties (North West) Ltd Customer of Decorum Properties (North West) Ltd
Review left on 1 Feb 2017Rating: 1 out of 5Re-sealing bath, installing new shower screen
I would not recommend this builder. I advise you to read all the negative feedback as it corresponds to my experience. He is up front about his high hourly rate, but this becomes extortionate given his slow work and incompetence. He estimated 2-3 hours to remove old sealant around a bath, re-seal, fit a new shower screen and paint the ceiling. Like other clients, I assumed a high rate would mean good, quick work. However, he mis-fitted the shower screen whilst I was not there (seemed to struggle with interpreting the instructions). I had to call the shop I bought it from for advice and show him where to re-fit it (leaving holes in the tiles from the incorrect fitting). He only called the product’s technical helpline after fitting it incorrectly. Afterwards, he would not accept responsibility for the incorrect fitting. Bizarre! I unwisely left him alone to finish the job. He indicated that he would take into account the fact the job was taking longer than he had estimated. The next day he sent me a bill for 7.5 hours amounting to over £800! On Mybuilder he states ‘should I experience difficulties outside the estimate I will draw your attention before progressing with the works’. At no point did he call me or give me any indication that he would spend an extra 3 1/2 hours on the job. In the end I agreed a day rate of £450 with him (+VAT!). A ‘gesture of good will’ he called it. I can think of other ways of describing it, especially given the poor quality of his work.Answer from tradesperson:
Very disappointing review.. I regret that this client was not happy with the service provided and has chosen to leave a negative review, I always go that extra mile in order to strive to offer the best possible service for my clients, regretfully this client got me to do several more jobs of work than she details and just didn't want to pay the agreed rate. The customer Kate Rea was disingenuous from the beginning. I would refer you to the positive reviews already received. In conclusion I will always act professionally and give you the best service possible always with the clients interest at heart at all times.

The repair work on the drain stack was assessed, clearly communicated and completed with no fuss and very quickly.Review from eddieb_32, Walthamstow, London eddieb_32, Walthamstow, London
Review left on 11 Jan 2017Rating: 5 out of 5Replace stone resin shower trayAnthony has successfully completed replacement of a defective stone resin shower tray, which involved removing and replacing the whole shower enclosure, tiles etc. The previous tray was faulty which meant that water didn't drain. I had a few contractors look at the job, and Anthony was the only one who I had confidence in to do this work. Since the bathroom is upstairs, built on wood, and there is underfloor heating in the room, great care was needed to not damage anything during the removal process. Since the old tray was cemented in place, this meant a precision cutting job. It is immediately obvious that Anthony is smart, analytical, hugely experienced and solutions oriented. He thought about the problem and wrote me an email once he had a plan on how to solve it. Thankfully for us the plan worked, and we now have a fully operational shower which also looks amazing. I also need to mention that Anthony works very neatly, is super efficient, on time and polite. It's great to finally find a real professional after many bad experiences with contractors. Lastly, he also advised me on claiming back costs from the supplier, and ended up writing a detailed report of the works for this purpose, which is going to be super useful. In my view, this is going above and beyond what is expected / required. Thanks Anthony for sorting out this headache for us! Review left on 6 Jan 2017Rating: 5 out of 5Leak in kitchenAntony was amazing! He did some detective work and based on ththe colour of the water and the position of the stain on the wall, told us that the leak wasn't in fact as leak, but a spillage. Didn't even want to charge for his time.Review from Customer of Decorum Properties (North West) Ltd Customer of Decorum Properties (North West) Ltd

Cost was unexpectedly highAnswer from tradesperson:
This customer contacted me from Ghana. He had a tenant just move into his property and she had several maintenance issues. I viewed the work, gave him an estimate. Received instruction and carried out the work. I invoiced the estimated amount and he duly paid. His comments in my opinion are unreasonable/untrue.
