We hired Anthony primarily to install a wetroom, 2nd bathroom and plumb 3 new radiators.
He did a number of small tasks well, to his credit. But his soldering of radiator pipes was faulty in 2/3 installed, causing leaks into 2 downstairs rooms and damaging ceilings. It has also transpired since that he plumbed 2 cold feeds to our 2nd bathroom and no hot feeds. He incorrectly installed a shower valve in the wetroom meaning the overhead shower and handheld both ran at once or neither at all (his feedback was that the control is sensitive, a 2nd plumber's feedback was it was incorrectly installed). Additionally, his finishing was not acceptable for the price paid, we've had to remove and replace all sealant (which our new plumber actually laughed at the quality of). He also fitted the sink so close to the toilet that anyone over 5'7ish cannot sit down straight. Some of my feedback is opinion (and certainly I am first to admit to being a tough critic), but some of it is fact – I'm sure he will dispute the facts anyway.
Overall, we raised the above with Antony and asked for a partial refund to pay for the correction of his faulty work. His only offer was he would return and fix himself. After our experience, I obviously declined as I have no faith he'd do it without fault. Needless to say, we have also not had him finish the installation of our 2nd bathroom.
His rate is very expensive, we foolishly believed that was the sign of a good/valuable tradesman. More fool us.
