Alan was exceptionally easy and professional to work with. His recommendations and compromise were excellent and his team performed the job beyond our eaxpectations. They did not compromise on quality and were really flexible with our design requests. I fully intend to hire Alan and his team for future jobs and cannot recommend him enough.

For years I had been thinking of replacing a window at the back of the house with Patio Doors. At the start of this year I decided to take the plunge and went onto mybuilder.com. Alan from Paterson Home Improvements contacted me straight away. Within a day or so he was round to quote for the work and very soon after that I had a detailed quote through the post. The job spec was to remove the old window and replace with a patio door, relocate a radiator and replace the skirting board in the kitchen/dining room. It also included removal of a rotten shed, the laying of a concrete base and the erecting of a new shed. I would highly recommend Alan and his team. Alan is the project manager, so the project ran very smoothly from start to finish, which included getting planning permission. All of Alan's tradesmen are all very helpful and easy to deal with and work very hard on the job. The result is fantastic and has transformed the living area at the back of the house and the dog is thoroughly enjoying sunbathing all day in the sun! I would have no hesitation in recommending Alan and his team to undertake work.

I registered with MyBuilder as I was converting a dis-used commercial building into two modern flats in the Leith area of Edinburgh - It was a relatively complicated project and I wanted a competent company I could trust - I wasn't overly impressed with the companies I had originally short-listed, so was very happy that Alan got in touch to ask if he could quote for the project. I immediately felt comfortable that I could work with Alan, and due to the multi-trade nature of the project Alan arranged after an initial meeting for his entire team to come along and look at the job a week later, so that an accurate quotation could be arranged rather than an estimate (which I liked!) The quotation was in line with my expectations and Alan and myself easily agreed on stage payments. I cannot commend Alan and his staff highly enough - Raymond was my main point of contact on site and he was fantastic!! As I couldn't be on site everyday (I only visited site once or twice a week) he would call me with regular updates and would arrange for the various trades to be on-site when required. I had all the guys' phone numbers and they always answered my calls and always phoned me back. I'm very happy with the finished product and also very impressed with the overall standard of work - even my building control officer commented on the standard of workmanship. In summary I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending Alan and his team, and would use them again in the future.

Job completed over a few days, very competent work.

Very happy with this work. Paterson Home Improvements replaced all of my downstairs windows with UPVC double glazing. Alan was very helpful throughout and seemed to be very honest and knoweldgeable about building standards etc. Windows themselves are very nice and we are happy with the quality and fitting. Thanks again!
