STEVE RILEY trading as PARAGON PLUMBING may have been a plumber at some point, judging by past reviews. He is now, however, acting as a SCAMMER. After quoting for a job on 22 Oct 2025, he took a payment of £1279 for materials and has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING since. He has provided no proof of purchasing materials or a date by which he ever intended to do the job. He provided a string of FLIMSY EXCUSES at first, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt (sometimes things just don’t go to plan) but these dried up quickly and he now REFUSES ALL CONTACT. I informed him last month that I fully intend to TAKE LEGAL ACTION to reclaim my STOLEN money, but this still hasn't elicited any response. If this review helps others to AVOID THIS CHARLATAN, I will consider it a public service.

Tap and waste pipe started leaking, contacting them and he said he's coming back on two different occasions but never did, when I contacted them the third time I said if your not coming I'm contacting Mybuilder and he said he couldn't care less and that I should do what I want. When I got this fixed by another plumber he said connections were loose and pipe had a crack in it. Please avoid if you don't want problems with your plumbing. So you’ve owned up to it! Get in touch with me to pay for the remedial works for the damage caused. Did you want me to keep the stop tap off for 3 weeks? That wasn’t possible sorry. Who’s been sending abusive texts please post them here?

He did a very good job

Hired Steven to replace electric shower, he’s very hardworking , knowledgeable tradesman, my entire experience was seamless from start to finish. He arrived on time, checked the old shower, and completed the job with precision and care, Highly recommend for anyone looking for a trustworthy plumber at reasonable price

Steve did a fantastic job at such short notice fitting our kitchen sink with full new pipework, and plumbing in our washing machine and dishwasher. I would highly recommend him and would use him in the future for any of our plumbing needs. Very fast friendly and efficient service with heaps of knowledge

Steve was fantastic at the job he did, really responsive to our job request, and went above and beyond to get the job done and give us peace of mind. Also it is very hard to find tradesmen who turn up when they say they will, I can honestly say that Steve is a diamond of a man and sticks to his word. Thanks again Steve will 109% use again and also recommend to others.
