Tom is a real rarity in the building world. He did a fantastic job damp-proofing two sections of our house. He kept in touch before and after the job, and cleaned up afterwards - even cleaning the pavement outside! Many people can do good work, but Tom's work is exceptional. Not only this, Tom is a really lovely person and very honest. The damp proofing took longer than he expected, but he kept to his original quote. He also advised us against taking unnecessary (and expensive) additional work to our outer walls. We're already planning to have Tom back to do more work to our bathroom. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you, Tom! We look forward to seeing you again.

Excellent. From the moment we booked, we had regular communication from Tom and his team. The major work was done in one day, with the team tidying up as they went along. They explained all the processes involved at every step of the way. The quality and standard of work was very good indeed. Would definitely recommend and would hire again.

We had a rising damp issue starting from the kitchen. Went on mybuilders.com and found Midland Damp Docots right at the top. Read the reviews and gave a ring. To our surprise Tom came to survey straightaway the following morning. He explained to us in detail, what was happening and clearly indicated where exactly the damp could have originally started. While the damp was being fixed we did come across wet wooden flooring and, the debris under the floor boards was not helpful anyway in restricting the dampness, which in turn would have turned into wood rot. The dampness was fixed which was due to a leaking water pipe under the sink. Then, Tom noticed that the electrics had some problems, which he got checked and got the whole house rewired with a new consumer unit through his contacts. Then the whole house was treated for wood worms. Well, the whole process, although took it's own time, went on very smoothly to completion. Hats off to Tom, his Dad Gary and Mom too. Craig is a lovely boy too. What a wonderful family and a beautiful family business, who is more concerned with the end results than profits. We recommend them and will definitely use them again.

Tom is polite, friendly and very helpful. He explained reasons for damp and condensation problems clearly before going suggested options to help with the problem. There was no pressure to make any hasty decisions. The work was carried out in a professional manner and the workmen were again friendly polite and helpful and explained the rationale for any actions they took. The unit which was installed has made a big difference to the amount of condensation in my property.

I cannot fault the service we received from Tom and his family. I was apprehensive at bringing in a tradesperson to look at suspected rising damp. However, Tom and Gary arrived at the time agreed and were very candid with the problems in the house. Rising damp was identified but Tom put us at ease and explained clearly the work needed, nowhere near as bad as I originally thought! The tenant of the property had also complained of damp in other rooms. However, Tom was very honest and explained the issue was actually condensation. Tom then gave us a range of options to address this - at no point were we pressured into making additional purchases. That said, we did make an investment to curb further issues and purchased a ventilation system for two rental properties using the patented systems developed by Tom - these are working incredibly well and there is a very robust guarantee in the event of any concerns. Tom kept in close communication at all times and worked around situations (one tenant was in the process of moving house). The standard of the work undertaken was very high and Tom always made sure we were happy with the work completed. I would highly recommend Midland Damp Doctor and would not hesitate in using them again - thank you Tom and family!

Tom and his team were extremely professional and friendly. Damp issues are always unnearving but their advice was clear and sound and they gave us a couple of options which put us at ease. Communication was great throughout and they did a really good job. Thanks Tom!
