I found a number of damp problems in my new house, Thomas came to do a survey for me where he diagnosed each of the damp problems and explained in detail the procedure that he would use to treat it. He was very friendly and very professional. He made me very confident in hiring him. He took down a detailed plan of the work needed and told me that he would have a report and quote back to me that week, he got it to me the following evening. I was happy with the price quoted as it seemed to be reasonable against some other companies who had been out to me before. We arranged a date for the work to be carried out and Thomas confirmed this with me the week before starting. He arrived promptly on the day and his team began to prep the area to minimise the amount of mess created. We discussed the job and I asked if a further wall could be treated, Tom worked it out and agreed that he could pull it in within the time he had allocated for my job. Throughout the job Tom and his team worked non stop including a few late nights. When they left each evening, due to the way that they work and clean up, I was left with rooms that I could use which was excellent as it was not expected. Tom and his team are a knowledgable, friendly, hardworking family business and I would have no hesitation in contacting him for any further work that I required.

I hired Midland Damp Doctor to repair the storage area underneath the stairs. They damp proof the floor and went beyond by adding shelves and a carpet once the job was completed and even curtain hooks in other areas of the house! So that the concrete was dry before finishing the job they brought in a dehumidifier to make sure the floor dried properly before completing damp proofing. Very happy with the outcome. Very polite and friendly and always cleaned up after they completed every stage of the work. I would highly recommend them and hire them again.

A small part off my kitchen wall had rising damp, Tom came out that day advised me what needed doing, gave me a quote, that was very reasonable, job now finished I was so pleased with his work very friendly and professional

Tom and his team were excellent. They ended up doing three houses in a row of terraces (including mine). My kitchen was done quickly and carefully- they tidied and cleaned every evening as best they could. Polite and friendly tradesmen and women that I have no hesitation in recommending. Brilliant service by Tom and his father who solved our problem overnight. We had been suffering with a damp problem for years and it was a simple fix. We had a ventilation system fitted which has proved itself already with no condensation at all the following day after fitting and none since. Toms father even came and fitted it during the Christmas holidays so we didn't have to take any time off of work. The only downside is it blows quite cold air but this is only on the landing upstairs. A small price to pay for no damp or condensation. Thank you to Tom and his father for a job well done. Jayne

Tom and the team were very professional and filled me with confidence from the outset. This confidence was well founded as the works were completed to a high standard and came in below the original price estimate, which in itself was reasonable. The majority of the works were completed whilst I was on holiday and the team were completely trustworthy. The works overran however not substantially and the team were flexible enough to work around me. I have no hesitation in recommending midland damp doctors to anyone with damp issues.
