We had a number of quotes from local building companies to extend the boundary wall of our garden with a brick and stone wall, level the ground and put down pea shingle. None of the other builders gave a such a detailed breakdown of the costs involved, instead they gave a broad description and a price. Matthew's quote was detailed, so we knew exactly where we could trim certain bits and add to others. Matthew and his boys turned up early, left late and worked through the weekend to ensure that the job was finished within the time frame he had estimated. They were all polite and left our garden neat at the end of each day. Many people walking past our house commented on the excellent progress and the standard of work that they produced. I must start by saying that I am a notoriously particular person when it comes to my home and garden and like things finished to a high standard. I had designed how I wanted the project to look and had a budget to stick to. I was extremely impressed by Matthew and his team, he took my design and respectfully explained how certain aspects may need to be altered to suit the ground, Matthew gave me a blow by blow account of how much each part of the job would cost and where possible he worked with us to reduce costs to allow us to stay within our budget. He also showed me photographs of other jobs he had completed and kept in contact with us throughout to ensure we were happy with the development. The end result is spectacular, we are absolutely thrilled with the paving, the layout and the purpose built veranda is splendid and adds such character to our home. Matthew treated us as old friends and worked as if the garden were his own, his team were friendly and polite and always tidy. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Matthew for any future building work, there doesn't seem to be anything they can't do! If you are considering Matthew for your project I would absolutely recommend him and his team.

Matthew was quick to respond to our request and wasted no time in visiting. He got on the roof and took photos of the problem so that we were able to see the cause. The following week Matthew came with his lads and worked well to complete the job at a time that was convenient to us. They kept us informed throughout of the work they were doing. As we have had little rain since the job was completed, we have still to discover if the job is a complete success, but we remain hopeful as Matthew seemed to know his stuff. We would definitely use Matthew again and would recommend to others because of his courteous, knowledgable and efficient approach to the job.

We chose Matthew because although not the cheapest we were able to view drives that had been laid up to 7 years ago and that was important for us as we didn't want to spend money only to have to have it redone in a few years. The drives we saw were very good and the people we spoke to very happy so we hired him. We are very happy with the result. Matthew was polite and professional and the driveway looks great. It wasn't the easiest of jobs as we had to get him to relay an oil pipe and also work round a neighbours gas pipe that we didn't realise was on our property but he took it all in his stride and sorted everything out. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to others. Grand job and well worth the money!

A good crew who turned up on time every day and started work straight away. They worked all day without messing around and got the job done in good time. They put right problems left by the previous builder and the work is of very good standard. They cleaned up well after the job was complete. There was a small issue with what was required and what was quoted for but this was as much my fault as theirs and it was an issue that was sorted easily. From this I'm confident that if any issues do arise they sort them out with little fuss. The only negative is that there was some building materials left over at the end of the job, for which I had already paid the supplier, that they took with them when they left. A small gripe though in what was a very satisfactory job.
