Matthew arrived on time to give a quote and after inspecting the roof he gave a reasonable figure and what's more, offered to complete the job there and then. Both he and his teammate Shane appeared to show a good working knowledge of their trade. They completed the job in a most satisfactory manner and not one more drop of water has leaked into our kitchen in spite of the considerable amount of rainfall received since. His pleasant manner has inspired me to ask him for an estimate on another job for me.

The “damp problem” as I posted seemed quite innocuous, but as expected it turned out to be a substantial problem. After trying various different options to try and eradicate the problem unsuccessfully, I decided it was time to have the job done properly. Mathew had done a job previously for me, so I invited him along with 2 other builders (not from My Builder) to give me an idea of how best to proceed. I was advised by all that the rear of the house needed to be re-rendered as there was penetrating damp. Each builder gave me varying different advice, but Mathew was the only one to give me a complete breakdown of the cost of each part of the job which I think was invaluable as regards to understand how the total price was reached. I felt Mathew understood what I wanted, and because of a previous successful experience I felt he should do the job. From the day the scaffolding was erected to the completion of the job exactly 11 days, hack off old render, scratch coat render, fine scratch coat render, tyrolean render finish (each coat of render applied with the correct water proofing agents), dry verge with re-felting under slate tiles, waste pipes replaced and two coats of pliolite paint to finish job. A fairly big job as you can see. Mathew was not the cheapest, but he was definitely the right choice to do the job. His lads were highly professional and did a great job. They also made sure everything was clean and tidy every day before they left. A very impressive job.

Matthew and his team have just completed an extension utility room for me. I can't fault from start to finish. A friendly and experienced team who worked mega hard and took personal pride in the work they were doing, even through some very nasty wet days, very clean and punctual. I was kept well informed throughout and will definitely use again and recommend to others. A builder to be trusted. Thanks.

Matthew was a friendly guy who came and quoted me for the job within a couple of days. I gave him the job and agreed a start date and timescale to do the job which was adhered to. I would use him again and would reccommend him to other people. He kept to times agreed, gave a good quote for the job and did the job to a very good standard

Completed what was a difficult job request very satisfactorily. Matthew and his team worked quickly and efficiently. More than happy with our new garage roof. Would happily recommend Matthew to others and use him again ourselves.

After a year of water coming into my home and several builders later we have eventually found someone who knows what he's talking about. Matthew was really fantastic taking pictures on his phone and actually showing us the problem instead of giving us complete BS and taking our money as the others had done. Really impressed with the work, he brought along two other guys who were hardworking and polite. We will definitely be having him back. A builder I can trust is worth his weight in gold I reckon, we've been stung many times. Thankyou Matthew and team!!

Very pleasant to deal with, both Matthew and two men who did job. Needed repair for part of a stone wall that had fallen down. Didn't get any other quotes so can't compare prices but seemed reasonable enough, tidy job. Cleaned up after themselves. Prompt quote and start of work.
