    larder knocked out of kitchen, fit new kitchen
    tradesmen who quote should actually know what they are doing and be prepared to do the work. Lost us a lot of time and money, would not honour quote, did not know how to deal with building regs, complete waste of time

    Answer from tradesperson:

    Our quote was made based on the drawings made by the client. It needed to be amended due to the numerous details not in accordance with Building Regs. We booked an inspection with a Building Control before the start due to the nature of the work. The surveyor required additional works and an amended quote was sent. The client did not want to accept the extra costs and encouraged us to start without the amended Building Notice. We stated in an e-mail that we were not going to start until the new Building Notice was submitted. The client has never replied but 4 months later (!) marked on Mybuilder that we won a job and left a negative feedback. Let's not comment this, anybody who reads our reply can judge whether it was fair or not.

    removals

    Dealt with difficult neighbours on party wall matters. Job completed within budget. Only snag was the coving replacement after the removal if chimney breast removal was not put in as seem less as I would have liked. Could see the connections between old and new. Could be rectified with paint but haven't got around to it.

    Wall knocking down

    Fitting of RSJ and renovation of reception rooms

    This is the second time we've hired Hunbuild to do major building works for us. We had an even better experience this time around. The finish and quality of the work is great - highly recommend. Big thanks to George, Adam and the rest of the team.

    Move kitchen door 1 metre forward.
    Excellent work, good communication, work completed within budget and in a reasonable time span. The workers were quiet and polite and cleaned up everyday before leaving. I am very happy with the job and would recommend them to anyone. The work involved removing a load bearing wall, raising the floor level including raising a toilet, installing patio doors and creating a new window, making an alcove in the chimney breast and relocating the gas hob to it, extending the central heating into the kitchen, taking up the laminate flooring and putting it back down so that it didn't look like it had been touched, painting and decorating, plastering and making everything look very good.

    Refurbishing 1930's semi

    Like the previous feedback, HUNBuild did an excellent job on completely refurbishing my property. Given the results, I would not hesitate in highly recommend HUNbuild to anyone who has building works required.

    kitchen refurbishment with structural alterations

    Hunbuild and George in particular, did an outstanding job in refurbishing our Edwardian House. They completed extensive structural works, new kitchen, electrics, plumbing, bathrooms etc on time and budget. The team were reliable and friendly at all times. George dealt with all matters including building control, structural design, ordering of materials and was always very responsive to any matters arising throughout the build whilst always keeping a sensible perspective on costs. Very highly recommended, particularly for extensions , structural alterations and general building. Pricing is not the lowest but is realistic and transparent.

    Turning cellar into storage space
    I am very happy with the job. It wasn't cheap but in line with other quotes. I found all the team members to be hardworking, friendly, polite and professional. They covered the hallway and the stairs every day with a dust sheet and every evening vacuumed and cleaned up before they left the house. George who managed the workforce visited the site regularly to discuss any issues that had arisen and ensured everything was clear to me and to the guys. The job was finished in the time agreed and really they have created a fantastic extra storage area for our rather cluttered house. I am delighted. I would recommend Hunbuild and would use them again if I need other work doing.
