The job I hired Andy for was to get some new fences and to have my decking replaced. I was quoted £3k and then after he had taken the top part of the decking up he called me and said the joists were all rotten and it would cost another £700. I had no choice but to agree because he had started the job. I have since spoken to many people and they have confirmed the job should only have cost £3k and you should always replace all of the old decking and you cannot charge more for a job half way through. I also need to add the although the fences were of good quality the gate he fitted has gone out of shape and needs replacing after 6 weeks. The wood that he put up to fix my neighbours gate broke within 2 weeks. The decking job was brilliant however this was outsourced to two great fitters. Andy did not give me an invoice for the job even though I requested one. Last but not least, Andy comes across as a really nice guy. He is very well presented and he has a side kick who is hilarious and even sings on cue. However in my opinion Andy is a great sales man who takes part of the profit earns from the job and outsources all the work. So if you cut out the sales man you get the same quality job a hell of a lot cheaper. Sorry Andy but I have to be honest.Answer from tradesperson:
I can’t believe you have given us this terrible feedback . You went away on Friday we wanted to make you happy after your divorce and get the whole fence and decking completed by Monday when you returned , once I lifted the old decking up the frame underneath has detoriated which meant I had to call you and get your permission you change the frame which I Must state I only charged you materials for this not the labour , I then instructed two of my friends who are carpenters to help me complete In such a tight deadline. The fence we installed was a very high quality fence and gate I have been back recently and you have not changed the fence and the job looks amazing , why do you have to lie and slander my company . I must state I also took all of your rubbish and fixed your neighbours fence for free as you agreed a quick fix to stop your dog getting out . Please review your feedback and maybe try and be honest . We are an extremely qilulaified and competent company who never cut corners .

Review left on 21 Aug 2018Rating: 1 out of 5Replace shower tray(Updated on 31 Jan 2019)Mr Roberts was a disaster. 1. He asked to be paid in cash and promised a receipt and itemised bill. I paid him but he never gave the receipt or bill, despite my repeated requests over several weeks. 2. His workmanship was faulty and I had to spend another day fixing his mistakes (details available on request). 3. He charged me for large expensive items which, it turned out, could not be installed because he had measured the room wrongly.Answer from tradesperson:
What an absolute disgrace , you are a dishonest man , when I arrived to your property we agree a price , the materials were about £350 , I stated I haven’t that kind of money around me , you then insisted on going to the cashmachine to withdraw the money out for us . You wanted me to use old tiles in the garage that didn’t match and old adhesive , I was extremely reluctant to do this but did it. I also went above and beyond driving 3 hours to get your particular shower screen for you that you chose and measured not me . Once again I feel violated and extremely upset you have to be dishonest . I must also state sir , you are renting the property out to so many people , maybe a complete bathroom and shower replacement is what you need then you are not fixing problems all the time . I have also agree several times to come and have a look and you kept on saying I won’t be there unless you can get there after 9 pm well I’m sorry I don’t work at 9 pm in people’s houses

This was raised as a concern, and we were told that they would be back the beginning of one week, by the end of that week nothing more had happened. The exact same again the next week. Unfortunate, as other aspects of the job we're completed which we are happy with.
