Sam was very good from start to finish came and did a quote and was very knowledgeable and gave good alternatives to keep the project in budget for us. Sam was also very polite and easy to talk to about what he was going to do day to day whilst on site and would let us know what he was doing with a chance for us to change our minds or make sure we were happy with what the end outcome was going to be. Accommodating to what we wanted doing as wasn’t just a patio but putting a fence with a gate up at the end of the patio and also a wooden bar would definitely hire Sam again.

Sadly I don't like leaving negative reviews but despite best efforts to get this job completed and paying a £200 and signing an official job contract Sam failed to turn up for the job on 4 occasions. To be fair he was ill for a week but he would say he was coming and not turn up with no communication. He did give me my deposit back when asked for. I notice there are a lot of jobs shown on My Builder where no feedback is given . Maybe they like me have not had the job done.

100% happy with the Dorset Patio Company from start to finish. Quotation was very clear and Sam gave his own opinion on the job as well as taking into account what we were looking for. Job was completed exactly on time and to the original quotation. Even when inevitably there was a snag with the job, Sam talked through the options before doing anything. We are absolutely delighted with the work Sam has done, finished to a very high standard and would completely recommend to anyone looking for similar type of work.

Sam is a great guy, very friendly, honest and importantly very skilled. He has a real passion his work and a keen eye for detail. We suggested some ideas but Sam gave us even better solutions that have left us with an awesome patio! His quote, paperwork, workmanship guarantee is all clear and easy to understand and gave us confidence in the process. We would be very happy to recommend Sam to others and to use him on future projects!

On arrival, everything was explained clearly and comprehensively. Any apparent issues were made explicit, with a choice of options available. It was important to have our opinions listened to and approved before any major work was undertaken. The completed fence has been erected to a high standard and Sam returned after the main job was finished to check that the main customer was satisfied. Thank you to a very friendly, professional and knowledgeable tradesman. We would have no hesitation in employing Sam again for future projects and we will recommend him to colleagues, friends and family.

Sam is very friendly, hardworking and takes pride in his work. We were so pleased with the patio he laid for us in our garden and have had so many positive comments. I am extremely happy with my new patio done by Sam. I couldn't recommend him and his company enough. He is very professional, he'll do his job well, fast and is very friendly too.

We were very impressed with Sam from the outset and throughout the process. Initially, he listened to what we wanted, made suggestions, and provided a written quotation. Once we accepted this we agreed a timescale and mutually signed off on this – a very professional business approach. He maintained communication throughout and started work when we had agreed. He worked incredibly hard to fulfil his commitments to us, taking any problems that arose in his stride. As the work progressed, we agreed a few small changes which were easily accommodated, and the work was completed in the time agreed. We are very happy with the high quality result and would recommend Sam’s work.

Sam Tomlinson did the work required, accepted our advice where given and agreed to make changes where requested. Despite several emails, he has not responded to our request for the 3-year Workmanship Guarantee that he promised on completion of all the work. Nor has he given us an official receipt for the payments we made to him, this also after several requests. However, to conclude: he was a cheerful positive worker and the quality of his work was to a good standard - we are pleased with the finished result.
