    Electrical Installation Condition Report
    He attended on time, did the report, failed and I paid. I asked that he carry out the job in the property. Changed the consumer units, some electrical wire and he said he will ‘install all kitchen spot lights to meet the IP rating’. I paid for this and new report. On the day he did the job the consumer unit started tripping off, I told him about this same day, he did not come to check, says to pay him and if any problem to let him know. We later found that when the spot lights in the kitchen are turned on, this is what was causing the consumer units to trip off. I called this guy, he actually asked me to pay before he could attend, after arguing he agreed to come and check, he could not tell me exactly what was wrong but feels he will need rewire and wanted more money. I decided not to do further jobs with him. He only cares about money. I don’t mind to pay more but saying he would not attend to review the job he did if I didn’t pay him another fee was ridiculous.

    EICR and Extractor Fan

    Answer from tradesperson:

    The initial job posted involved replacing an extractor fan in the bathroom. However, upon arriving at the property, it became clear that the work required was not a replacement but a new installation including the connection of an isolator. I explained to the customer that the originally quoted price was for a replacement, not a new installation. As a result, I provided an updated quote reflecting the new scope of work. Additionally, the customer requested an EICR for another property. I conducted the inspection and testing in the customer's presence. The result revealed C2 and C3 codes, leading to an "unsatisfactory" rating for the installation.While the customer expressed dissatisfaction with this outcome,I emphasized that I must adhere to the required standards and regulations.I cannot compromise on these requirements to provide an alternative result. It is essential to ensure all work and reports comply with safety standards to maintain the integrity and safety of the installation.

    Wire a shed and garden lighting
    Excellent. Works was carried out when he said and despite it taking a little longer than it was anticipated, Dilshan got the job done. Thank you

    Final connection to fuse box for oven and hob
    Dilshan of DB Electrical Experts was amazing, I strongly recommend. He is knowledgeable and professional. He came on a very short notice, sorted out all the issues my builder asked and even suggested improvements on the proposed set up. I will be using again.

    Sockets issue
    The person is good at his work, very professional, polite and helpful. He finds the socket issue and fix it, even I was not there with him. He had spent 3 hours there at the property to find the fault and fix it. Job was done properly and when I came home in the evening and checked it. Everyting was working fine in the kitchen. I was very happy to see all that and I will recommend him definately.

    Electrical fault in upstairs sockets in 3 bedroom house
    Dilshan was an exceptional electrician who had provided a solution to the problem I had. Very professional and explained his steps along the way. Very easy for a person who is not in the trade to understand. I'll definitely be using his services again.
