    Flat roof repairs
    Hired Alfie 2 repair/replace small flat roof on small toilet/bathroom after he inspected, quoted and impressed with his sales pitch.A written contract confirmed what was required including the agreed price and 2 days to complete. The price quoted wasnt the cheapest but I felt I was getting better vibes on meeting him despite the negative feedback he already had so I wanted to give him the benefit. Sadly my good intentions didn't pay off. Some of the damaged wooden joists needed replacing. These were replaced with light flimsy bits of timber like what's on my shed. Insulating the roof while felt was removed was part of instructions/agreement. This wasn't done nor was I informed of this. Gutering was not erected to carry the rainwater as per instructions nor was informed of this. I trusted and allowed Alfie to get on with the job as was agreed without my constant attendance as I understood him to be a professional. Sadly I was left extremely disappointed.Alfie wanted to increase the price by near40% even though time taken to complete was half the time quoted(1day).unfortunately I don't expect roof lifespan to be very long and I've major reservations in the event of snowfall. Advice to Alfie, treat your customers with honesty and integrity, without customers what have u and perhaps further training is required if u genuinely think your work is competent.I won't mention any of the other happenings as I'm not about damaging his business. Wud I employ /recomend again? - NO

    Answer from tradesperson:

    You can’t please everyone unfortunately. When your On a bare minimum budget you can’t afford top quality. Also when you read a quote make sure you read the TERMS & CONDITIONS as our T&C’s clearly state the obvious. Anyway cut to the chase your full of lies & a penny pincher. Don’t shop for something you can’t afford. Anyway the roofs not leaking which is the main thing I’m supposed to do right. I know the truth so do you. I don’t understand what’s negative if the roofs not leaking I shouldn’t have a negative review ? Just because you ’ expect ‘ more things to happen during the course of job unfortunately that’s what caught you out.

    Damp patches in chimney caused by suspected roof issue
    Alfie was professional from first contact to completion of the job. He and his team were always prompt when appointments were made, and his quote was clear and competitive. Work was completed on time and to a high standard. Would highly recommend Alfie and would definitely use his team again for any future work.

    Flat roof leak/replacement and room ceiling repair
    Great service start to finish. Alfie was great, very quick in communication and they came and fixed the roof the next day which was amazing with the weather that followed. So decently priced too! Would definitely recommend

    Leaking roof on kitchen extension
    Alfie was amazing - he saved us from a leaking roof just before Christmas! He was extremely quick at responding to me, very friendly and professional. I am so grateful. Would definitely recommend!

    Pitch roof leak and guttering fixing
    Highly recommended. Alfie and the team were a pleasure to deal with. All very polite and friendly. They did a flat roof and full Victorian roof replacement. Explained everything and maintained progress throughout. Most notable, was Alfie always replying (phone or WhatsApp) fairly quickly and we never had to chase him. Thanks Alfie and team.

    Roof repair
    We required work to be conducted on our flat roof which was leaking and was giving us persistent problems after another roofer did a temporary fix and didn’t patch up the roof properly. Alfie was prompt in giving us an assessment and estimate on what needs to be done. His team arrived on time and conducted the work on one day. He then took us through the work conducted. He did a thorough job and was easy to discuss the issues with, we would highly recommend his services.

    Replacement flat felt roof
    Alfie came to view the job and gave me some very useful information on what he thought was required to fix the problem. I was impressed with the detail and the competitive quote. Alfie and his roofer arrived on time and the new roof was fitted with all debris removed from site. The new roof looks great - highly recommended.
