    Undoing and blockng up fireplace for plastering

    Writing on behalf of neighbour who used this service following my contact. Jamie was excellent in terms of analysing the problem, providing a solution, and costs. He responded to emails quickly and comprehensively, answering any questions. Finally the work they did was of excellent quality, they turned up on time (and they were coming from far), did what they said they would do and left place in neat and tidy. They worked hard as access was not entirely easy but no complaints were made.

    Checking a fireplace
    Jamie is very professional, gave me a clear quote, did the job very quickly, his guy arrived exactly as agreed, was very nice and skilled. They explained to me what needs to be done to commission my old fireplace, explained all the options and sent detailed quotes. I cannot fault absolutely anything and I will use Jamie next year to change my open fire to a log burner as I fully trust him.

    Take out existing wood burning stove

    Pleasant people, job was completed, however it was quite expensive for a short and simple bit of work which I had believed to be more difficult than it turned out to be. I also asked for a small bit of concrete to be applied to fill in a gap. In hindsight I should have asked the price for that extra thing before agreeing I guess, since it was a lot for something non specialist.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    Sorry you feel the work was too expensive, however all our prices are fully broken down, we gave the estimate/quote in advance & you accepted the works. Due to our experience, high quality of work & extra efficient attitude, we often complete works we believe in much quicker time scales then other builders, however we do not feel we should string out jobs thus making it look more worth while, if we can do it quicker we will, however we don't let this affect our quality. Thanks for your feedback however, we always take notes on board, thanks again for using CSI.

    Fireplace overall

    Very happy with CSI! Jamie was very efficient in answering all of my many detailed questions. We went from a decommissioned gas fire to a decorative fire place. The work was carried out to a very high standard in one day. Thank-you to Jamie and his efficient team. And they traveled to Peterborough!! I highly recommend this company.

    Supply and fit new register plater w/ access to chimney

    Nice guys who kept me in touch with their plans at all times and consulted me on various choices whilst on site. Kept my house clean and tidy and did a good job of what I asked them to do. Would recommend.

    Installation of Stove
    Fitted stove, liner and chimney cap. Very knowlegeable and thorough. Turned up on time and completed the job as promised. The only downside was that I paid for a more expensive liner (longer guarantee) to be told I couldn't burn coal in my my multi fuel stove as would invalidate the guarantee on the liner. If I had known I would have purchased the cheaper liner. On the whole my experience was a positive one and would recommend.

    Remove concrete and reappoint bricks

    Fantastic work done by Jamie and his team. Job completed exactly when expected. We have had trouble with tradesmen in the past and CSI were a breath of fresh air in comparison. Have already recommended them twice. The transformations are incredible. Thanks guys :)
