I'm a general builder. I hired Nicky to do quite a bit of work on a total renovation I was doing. The work included (the below text is a text from Nicky confirming what we agreed would be done) Move meter and run new gas supply £430 £1500 to relocate. X2 vertical rads and kitchen gas supply Relocate x4 rads 1st floor Then relocate boiler in loft. Nicky would start work at 10am and leave around 1pm. To get the job moving I ended up mounting the boiler to the wall and drilling hole in the wall for the flue. I ran all the pipe for the downstairs hand rail and re-ran the gas pipe that he chose to install approx 50mm away from the wall knowing we still have to plasterboard that particular wall. When I reminded him about the 2 vertical rads I paid him to install he replied 'OK'! I had to employ another plumber to run pipe for the vertical rads at an extra cost. Needles to say I would not recommend this clown. This has now been handed over to my solicitors
