I hired Phoenix Design & Build after my rental property suffered major floor damage due to a water leak. The kitchen base units had to be removed to allow the entire kitchen chipboard based floor to be stripped out along with the insulation below. Once this was carried out Scott and his team replaced the entire floor including a new water resistant LV click floor finish. The units and work tops were then reinstated, putting the kitchen back to normal. I had never met Scott but have to say he was great to deal with, his communication and explanations were second to none with both myself and the tenant occupying the property. The work started on the agreed date and was finished ahead of schedule. I will be keeping Scott's details to use Phoenix's services again. I would highly recommend.

JKL have built us a beautiful large garden cabin. They have been so dedicated and worked so hard through the craziest weather (wind, sleet, snow, hail, Storm Dudley, Storm Eunice and now Saharan dust!) to give us a wonderful building of the highest quality craftsmanship. Everyone has been really focused on the quality of the build -from the foreman and carpenter (who have been there every day), to the ground workers, bricklayers, scaffolders, electricians and roofers. They have all played their part in realising the design intent. Matt Williams, the owner and Company Director has also been super efficient, responsive and easy to deal with. He has been instrumental in keeping the project on time and in budget. Only a few more weeks before everything is complete and we can use the space. We can’t wait and are so grateful to JKL for all their efforts. We would whole heartedly recommend JKL.

We have engaged Charlie through myBuilder and he was very prompt with his feedback. His engagement was effective and he gave us the time and attention as we went through the selection process with a few candidates. Once we made up our mind he was quick again to come up with the final quote and accommodated our final changes (of which there where a few). I think it is important to highlight that on a project like this one it is a good idea for the client to have a clarity of the scope and specification to the detailed level - it helps the builder with the scope and the quote. Through the project Charlie was effective in sticking to his timelines and was very proactive in lining up the other trade (although it was not an easy task at times). We have had our hiccups and challenges when things did not go to plan, but those where resolved in a very professional manner with mutual respect, understanding and attention from Charlie for which I m grateful. Overall we are pleased with the work delivered and many of our friends are still amazed at the speed of our project delivery. Will be happy to endorse Charlie or provide any more detailed feedback if required.

Loft Conversion- 20 Jul 2018
We took a punt on OMG because we knew very little about them. They came over well though and supplied references that reassured us. Due to an incoming baby, a key aspect for us was the ability to get started at short notice and deliver the project quickly. Something Owen assured us he could do. Well, we now have a lovely new bedroom and bathroom and are just awaiting the arrival of the baby! The guys worked very efficiently - the speed with which our old roof was taken off and a new one put on was impressive. The inevitable few things that cropped up during the project were all dealt with swiftly and without hassle. For example, I noticed a leak on a pipe - within an hour the plumbers came around and fixed it. There were a couple of aspects of the bathroom I wanted changed (I'm quite fussy) - Owen had his guys come over and put everything right - again no hassle, they just got it done. For me, the way in which snags are dealt with is really important and I found OMG to be very good in this department. We're really happy with the finished product - looking at other loft conversions in the area (there are loads) ours really does look high-end. Fancy balcony, quality roofing, piping really neat, awesome bathroom. They came and did a final tidy up of the site last week - clearing up bits that had fallen down the side alley etc. We have already recommended OMG to friends who are using them for a side extension. I would certainly use them again.

Peter Summer provided an amazing service! If you want a vaulted double height room, a wall of glass, or importantly a project completed on time and on budget, then going with Peter is a great idea. We had a great experience with Peter as our main contractor for our self-build, and cannot fault any of the build. The only thing that is potentially problematic is that Peter is too busy doing builds that you may not be lucky enough to engage him!

He listened to our requirements, designed a stunning project for us and worked with our structural engineer to ensure it kept the aesthetic design we wanted whilst keeping the practical engineering principles in mind. He also helped us through the tendering process and produced all of the drawings and plans that the builders could have wanted.
