Completed every aspect of carpentry from fitting a door handle to building houses ! Over the last 15 years between my own contracts have been fitting all styles of wood flooring all over London including the shard and national gallery. I pride myself on work finished in the highest standard so if you are looking for a cheap quote I’m probably not the right man for you !

JKL have built us a beautiful large garden cabin. They have been so dedicated and worked so hard through the craziest weather (wind, sleet, snow, hail, Storm Dudley, Storm Eunice and now Saharan dust!) to give us a wonderful building of the highest quality craftsmanship. Everyone has been really focused on the quality of the build -from the foreman and carpenter (who have been there every day), to the ground workers, bricklayers, scaffolders, electricians and roofers. They have all played their part in realising the design intent. Matt Williams, the owner and Company Director has also been super efficient, responsive and easy to deal with. He has been instrumental in keeping the project on time and in budget. Only a few more weeks before everything is complete and we can use the space. We can’t wait and are so grateful to JKL for all their efforts. We would whole heartedly recommend JKL.

I am very disappointed to have to write this as at the time of the job (25th of Oct) Martin seemed very competent and professional. We paid him in full £830 in our house when he finished the job. We discussed further work with him to carry out. The pipe under the sink started leaking the next day and we contacted Martin, which he came and resolved promptly on the 28th of Oct. Then we got in touch with him on the 29th of Oct about the follow up job quote and the toilet seat which is unstable and needs fixing so it’s secure. He said he was very busy and then he said he had COVID. He was isolating and would be in touch. We have left endless messages and we have tried calling him to no avail. Martin is fully aware we have a 4 year old and the toilet seat is unsafe which we have asked him to fix as this was part of the job he completed and we paid him and we just want him to fix the toilet seat now so no injury is caused to any of us. He has made no contact to date. It is very upsetting to have to write a bad review in order for a professional to complete a job but we do not know what else to do.

100% recommend Fine Grain! Paul took on a job which a tonne of other carpenters and window fitters said wasn't possible. We had a couple of rotten windowsills which was holding up the sale of our house. After being told by quite a few other tradesman that they weren't in a state to be replaced, we were facing having to replace the whole windows until Paul said he can do just the windowsills, saving us £100s! He's obviously very experienced in this type of work as the quality is exceptional. Will use again when we move for any carpentry needs.

Really don’t know where to start. Luke & his trusty team didn’t put a foot wrong with our garden renovation. Everything is totally perfect & beyond my expectations. I had 3 other quotes before Luke came but none felt right then Luke showed up & I knew immediately he was the right one! He is so professional, down to a proper written & signed contract. Work was, new fence, posts & gravel boards, creating a rock garden in a totally unused space, reviving an old rockery, relaying a broken path, using the original block stones & refreshing a large area of stones with an additional layer. Plus a couple of other jobs ad hoc. I highly recommend this conscientious, hard working bunch of really nice guys. Also the pricing was really reasonable.
