I cannot recommend Tom and his team highly enough. We needed a dormer loft shell constructed to include 1 bedroom and en suite. They started 19th November and it was completed by January 9th. Through incredibly challenging weather, freezing temperatures and very high winds. The chaps started before 9am every day, and included occasional weekend hours. The quality of the work is superb. Tom talked through options and variations as to how we could best achieve what we were aiming to create from the outset. We felt at ease and confident in his judgement and opinions. Payments were made in installments at relevant intervals of job completion which was quick and straightforward. There is absolutely nothing I would change about the service we received or the manner in which our job was managed. Anyone wishing to have a reliable team of builders, Tom and his team I cannot recommend enough. We are absolutely overjoyed by the work that Byron did on our home. We wanted a loft conversion with ensuite to give us more space and it has literally transformed our home! We all now have the space and comfort that we wanted, plus it looks amazing! From start to finish Byron and his team were soo helpful, thoughtful and hardworking. Nothing was too big or small for them. We have never had anything like this done before so needed lots of help and advice and Byron was always on hand to help. I work from home which I thought may be difficult with such a large job underway but they were so considerate and accommodating it was a pleasure to have them here. I can honestly not recommend Byron enough for any loft conversions or home improvements you may need. Jeff and his team did a great job with the loft conversion in our bungalow, so we used his services for downstairs refurbishment as well which was completed to an excellent finish. We are very happy with his work which was professionally and efficiently done. We found his team to be extremely knowledgeable on all areas of building work regarding property. We are both fully qualified carpenters. We can offer all aspects of carpentry works both domestic and commercial from big jobs to small jobs, nothing is a problem with our can do attitude.
Very disappointed with the quality of the work, expecting higher standard from Connor who came across as polite and supposedly experienced. Chipped laminated pieces of flooring were fitted and of no concern to Connor. On request, he came back the next day without arguing to replace the couple of planks damaged (the surface to cover wasn't very large!). Too much gap that even skirting could not cover in some area. Skirting not neatly glued/attached to the wall. Finishing metallic cover to the stairs not fixed in place properly. VAT added to the flooring bought with already VAT added, which on request Connor removed. By that point I didn't have the heart to ask him to come back and redo a proper job.
