rcm carpentry reviews (134)

Rae and his team were excellent from start to finish. Always reliable and polite they completed a wrap around extension within the predicted 10-12 weeks and on budget which was faster and cheaper than anyone else we spoke to. Throughout the project Rae was organised and constantly communicating the progress, any snags and when things needed ordering. The finish of the work is top notch and they were amenable to carrying out extra bits of work along the way and quickly sorting any problems that arose. We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to friends and family.

The work isn't yet complete but so far the progress has been really smooth and Rae and his team have been wonderful. They've provided good ideas, they've always been punctual and communication has been excellent. RCM is also doing our kitchen installation and some extra carpentry and electrical work around the house and we're very happy with the quality and the very reasonable price he quoted for us.

Rae and his team have been excellent from start to finish. Very accommodating with our requests and nothing was a problem. Very easy going, great understanding with each other and very high quality workmanship. Rae is very well organised and always on top of things. Everything was ordered and arrived on time. Kept us informed with everything with updates every day and even on weekends. We were told that the project would take 8 weeks but they finished early despite doing extra jobs for us. We have nothing but great things to say about each and everyone from RCM carpentry, highly recommend them Thank you so much guys we love our new space.

Front/side extension, extend hallway. The job went well, to time scale and price agreed. I have been really pleased with how well the team work (Phil, Evan, Richard, Simon and his crew). Rae himself organises everything and if there are any problems or queries he is straight on to it to sort things out. I had a few extra bits included and Rae was fair with the price. I would certainly re-engage rcm carpentry for future work.

I am very pleased with the work done by RCM Carpentry. The job was carried out in the time frame agreed, and the cost was in line with the original estimate. I am a professional building surveyor, I would not hesitate to recommend Rae and his team and I intend to use RCM Carpentry for future works.

Rae and his workers, have been exceptional, friendly, polite, fast and organised. Excellent communication throughout and very helpful, above and beyond expectations. Provided additional recommended services that I required along the way and made the process as simple and prompt as possible. Helpful with advice and also with collecting supplies. Always available for last minute appointments and very patient to talk through any practical ideas and ideas in general. Top service and I can see why Rae and the Company receive so many positive reviews. I plan to use this Company for all future works and highly recommend them. Many thanks Rae and the team!

Rae and his team have been exceptional in completing our attic conversion. The lads are always polite, tidy and happy and the job was completed on time and in budget. This is the second time I have used RCM for a large building project and both times they have produced great results with minimal fuss. Thank you Rae, Phil, Richard and the whole team 😊

Rae and his team have been absolutely superb from start to finish. The extension was completed to a very high standard, on budget and ahead of time. Neighbours have commented on the quality of the work, the timeliness in which it was completed and also how tidy they’ve been. Rae was on top of the build throughout and we were kept updated and involved at all stages and we never felt that anything was being done without consulting with us first. During the project, Rae and the team came up with ideas, solutions to problems and also did some additional work for us (knocking down an internal wall, re-siting the washing machine and laying laminate flooring). We went through the normal process of getting numerous estimates for the work but we won’t do that for any future work - we’ll go straight to Rae and RCM Carpentry. Outstanding job!

Rae and his team were amazing from beginning to end, this was a big build for me and he held my hand all the way through, he and his team took the time to understand the build, what I wanted to achieve and even though a couple of the things I wanted were unusual he realised why I wanted it and he and the team helped me achieve my goal. His team were on site every single day of the build, helped me make the odd change and even suggested changes when the kitchen was being fitted, that allowed me to have extra storage by changing some cabinets but not changing the space they took up. Rae has transformed my three separate spaces which inc a very small galley kitchen into an amazing kitchen / entertainment space and with just over 6m off bifold doors, clear views and access to the garden. He and the team project managed everything, steels arrived the day they were needed, electricians did what they needed to do before installing underfloor heating, flooring and kitchen everything was just in time and I just had to sit back and watch it all take shape. Rae’s team were all really experienced and as they were in my house for 10 weeks easy to get on with. Even post build there have been a couple of snags which is only to be expected, but one call/text and he has returned in a couple of days to sort it out. If you need an experienced building team to deliver your goal I would thoroughly recommend Rae and I am now eying him up for my next project.

Richard Johnstone did a superb painting job for us, imperfections virtually disappeared and we will definitely use him again.
