The project I approached Ash about has been put on hold (problems my end not with Ash). If and when we restart he will be the person to do the job. Therefore I must post positive feedback for him now as my dealings with him to date have been first class. Communication has been excellent, he arrives when he says he will and his assessment of the job and the options he describes in plain English without any builders jargon is outstanding. His quotes arrive on time & confirm all the points raised at the site visit. Having had my own house built a few years ago I can tell you that the combination of all the above points is very rare. Most builders etc I've dealt with have fallen at the first hurdle, if they've made it even that far! I have no hesitation in saying give him a call, I don't think you'll be disappointed. They installed underground ducting for an electric cable. The work was done professionally and between visits the area was kept very tidy. Steve provided an excellent and good value service, working with us to ensure the foundations were completed to Building Control requirements, including providing cost effective solutions to deal with unexpected existing foundations and excavation adjacent to party wall. Work completed to our satisfaction and in time. We are now arranging to work with Steve on the next phase of the job. I then joined an Excellent Sub Contract Bricklaying gang and honed my skills for another five years before starting up my own gang mainly working on New housing sites.. My workload increased considerably as I'd built a very good reputation for quality work which enabled me to directly employ 15 tradespeople. I have done many house building contracts from start to finish for various clients as well as spec building on several sites of my own. I have been put forward for LABC awards on two occasions. I have converted a Rope Factory and a Nursing Home into dwellings which were awarded best conservations in Dorset. Since relocating to Newbury I have built houses in Bourton on the Water, Uffington, Bourton North Dorset as well as Newbury. I work to the highest standards and my attention to detail is what sets me apart. My focus now is on taking on smaller projects closer to home.

I am very happy with Seb and Jamie's work. They built me a lovely new patio and levelled and realaid the lawn. The finished effect is much better than I anticipated. They were quick to provide a quote and always came when they said they would. They were very tidy while the job was ongoing. They went out of their way to get the materials I wanted and were attentive to detail, suggesting edging and drainage. I had one area of concern which they came out and fixed after the job was complete without any argument. I selected Martin for my fairly substantial 7x6m massively reinforced garage raft based on my initial meeting with him when he came to quote, and of course the positive reviews on here. Which I am happy to say now that he has neared the end of my job, I can also award him with a 5 star review. Martin knows his stuff when it comes to groundwork and operating an excavator! He is a very pleasant guy and a pleasure to work with. He was always on time, turned up every day he said that he would, and always told you what his plans were during the job. Its difficult to find someone in the trades that you can trust and feel confident to leave to do the job. I can say I haven't had to worry like this with Martin. If you need any groundwork done, then just go with this guy, he wont let you down and wont rip you off.
