We are Apex paving ltd, Daniel and myself (Josh) started our business 5 years ago with just the two of us. We have 30 years of experience and knowledge combined and have grown our business to currently employ 27 people on domestic and commercial sites and are still growing year on year. We sub-contract to 4 large commercial groundworks and street works firms across Hampshire and surrounding areas. We complete all manner of groundworks on new build housing sites and domestic homes. From drainage and roads to patios, kerbs, block paving and tarmac. We began our business on domestic jobs installing new block paving driveways including drop kerbs, new gardens and patios, artificial and real turf. We also have a dedicated tarmac team and digging teams (fibre and services) on the road network completing jobs for SSE and other contractors. We are based in Portsmouth but travel up to 1.5hrs from home in any direction sometimes further. We have full public and corporate liability insurance and all relevant tickets for plant and streetworks. Welcome! My name is Greg, I’m 34 years old and I’ve been working in construction for 19 years now, I started in June 2005 at the age of 15 and started an apprenticeship in bricklaying by September that year, I was never hugely fond of bricklaying however with the precise perfectionist attitude I have It turned out I was pretty good at it! Working for a mid-size building company with great values sent me down a path of getting to experience all the trades and try my hand at them, I became very fond of carpentry and tiling but the real passion I found was being outside patios and hard landscaping, I had a rich start laying copious amounts of Brazilian black slate which any tile/slab layer will tell you is one of the hardest to lay! Given that my specialities would have to lay in the bricklaying/ slab laying and general landscaping areas with a keen eye for design and love for the environment and horticulture of the land I approach every job excited to work with you the customer to help make your dreams a reality, Every job has to be perfect for me even to the dismay of my work force when I have taken work up if not happy, and quality over quantity always.
