DO NOT USE THIS FIRM Alex’s talent is as a salesman. We had him do some gates on our property and they were okay except communication was extremely poor and the price went up apparently for subcontractor costs. As luck would have it he was on the property when we had to have part of our deck lifted for drain repair and he said he could do that and replace the deck when works finished, during that he talked his way into the deck extension we were considering. This was not so good, unfinished edging, too few screws, rough sawing, but by then he had talked us into letting him replace a lean to roof, which we’re considering, he convinced us this would be much more expensive next year due to material costs. DREADFUL OUTCOME! The roof which had been serviceable now leaked in numerous places. The flashing was almost none existent, beams were split by nail gun awful finishing all round. We had to have it made right by a real roofer and we are in the process of trying to claw back costs!

Contacted G D Chalmers following a home electrical emergency which resulted in a full home rewiring to be undertaken. Communication from the team at Chalmers was from initial query was amazing - so supportive, helpful and understanding. After a small initial delay which required a 3rd party to be brought in all the works were completed within 1 day where others were quoting 3-5 days and with 2 kids and fur babies, that was not an ideal option. No question asked to them was made to be felt as being silly or indeed not relevant, site visits and snagging were all beyond expectations and again the communication from the Team was second to none. Would recommend G D Chalmers to anyone requiring electrical work and we will certainly be keeping their number accessible for any future requirements big or small!

They repointed areas, and cleared the vegetation and gutters. Communication needs working on, but these blokes are nice and very honest. And honesty penetrates the loudest. I would trust them on my roof again. They did a great job and I would recommend them.

Andrew was thorough, efficient and courteous. He turned up as arranged (not always a given in my experience) to quote, start, and then complete the job after decorating had been done. He was keen to do a professional job and he did just that. It was not a straightforward replacement of radiators but Andrew did a great job in the end. I am very pleased with the quality of work and won’t hesitate to hire again or to recommend.

Total waste of my time, made arrangements for installation of my kitchen window, took time off my work to be in for them to arrive and have not heard a thing from them, no phone call, no tex massage, no email, NOTHING..!! Have called, texed and emailed them all day and with no answer.. Waited 4 weeks to get a date that would suit both of us and they don't show up, I will not use this company again and do not recommend them to anyone.. And being it was a double glassed window I guess they must of known sometime ago they were not going to turn up as the window would of needed to be made..
