I’ve been working as a stonemason for 28 years. I served my apprenticeship in a traditional building firm specialising in the restoration of churches and listed buildings in the Somerset area. I’ve an extensive knowledge of local stones and lime mortars and their applications along with other conservation/restoration techniques. In addition to this I’m a time served banker mason and in addition spent three years studying architectural carving at the City and Guilds School of Art. I’ve worked on numerous prestigious projects over the years including the restoration of The Commons Inner Court in the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament).
