In spite of Ryan building a rapport during the works (installing a shed base, installing decking with steps, lights plus electric sockets and removing and disposing of soil and rubble), he and his business partner walked out on the job after making some measuring mistakes and have stopped contact too. Kept my money though. Firstly, the shed base should have been 9ft x 6ft, however it is only 8'4 long, and not only is it 5'5 wide at one end, but due to not being straight along one edge narrows to 5'3. The decking he did not build out to the agreed point/size, to which we offered a compromise on the design to ensure it reached where it should. He appeared to be ok with this, but then also realised he had built the steps a size that did not allow correct fitting of decking boards. He also blamed the boards and falsely said they were not long enough. No electrician was employed so no electrics fitted. They've left their waste behind and left materials blocking our driveway from use.

Post completion of the job, there has been an issue with the concrete in that it has crumbled and broken up. Despite multiple emails and the promise this will be rectified it hasn’t been and my last few emails have been ignored. The warranty for the work is clearly worthless which is a concern to me should there be issues with the drainage in the future. If the company would like to get in touch and rectify the issue I’ll amend my feedback.

I am a bricklayer by trade but do general building. I have built a few houses from scratch and completed a few barn conversions. Lots of extensions but no job is to small. I have some good sub contactors who do the work I can't. Friendly and reliable. I only do one job at a time start finish then onto next one. The summer house you see in my projects with the decking was built by myself from scratch all of it except the electrics. The fence was just a small quick job to keep the customers new puppy in. I have added some more projects from the last year. I have lots of photos of projects during development but can only upload so many here.

John was impressive, he delivered on all aspects of the work and did make attempts to make sure snags and workmanship was of an acceptable standard. Where he contracted work out, it was good quality delivered, especially in terms of the brickwork to the main extension, windows and roofing including Velux windows. However some of his general labourer workman did not deliver a good quality of work, resulting in a patio area needing to be relaid by another contractor at cost to myself, poor quality brickwork on the garden retaining walls and when digging the foundations for the extension damage to drainage pipes, with a poor attempt at repair. As a result of this we have had the pipe block three times and have been told it will need to be replaced as it is collapsing.
