Elliot and the team completed all elements of the project, which included numerous steels to replace existing supporting walls and the re-fit of our existing kitchen +new kitchen fit out. Sorry this is long: our experience differs to most on here. We chose Better Living to do our side and rear extensions from start to finish. All was good until the subcontractors finished the main structures, then it all went downhill. Ben rarely answered his phone, texts, emails etc., and because they had started a bigger project elsewhere they repeatedly abandoned ours, often for weeks at a time. Even when we went on holiday, they had the complete run of the house for two weeks but did very little. Ben deliberately held up work for two weeks after receiving a stage payment a day late, having given us one day to pay after emailing an invoice. Beyond the main structural jobs their work was often sub-standard and our instructions were not followed due to poor communication between the team. Out of frustration we eventually took a lot of work off them and drafted in other tradesmen to complete the project, also doing some of the work ourselves. We have since had to have some of their heating work rectified by engineers. Not saying everything was bad, but fact is the list of problems and poorly completed jobs is too long to list here. They finished at our property over three months ago and have still not sent us the completion documents. As usual, Ben is not responding to our attempts to contact him. Despite being hospitable to their team, we feel we were treated shabbily by BL and sadly would not recommend them.
