I hired Tom to build a rear ext and porch ext. Work began Oct 2023, contracted to finish early Dec with a few weeks contingency. Internally the rear ext was completed to a plastered finish and kitchen installed before Xmas. The outer blockwork is partially done on the rear ext, but not started on porch (I have now paid for & finished the insulation, plasterboard and skimming) Tom had other jobs lined up to start in Jan so he couldnt come out then. In Feb I learned his company was being folded. When I spoke to him he promised he would still finish the job but needed some time to work on other jobs and earn money. He was due back this week to finish off the blockwork. He messaged the day before saying he isn’t coming back. I’ll have to pay someone else to finish the blockwork. It took me 4 weekends and 16 skip runs to clear the mess he left in the garden.

The pricing was competitive ( not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for) and GLS Joinery & Building Ltd are a very slick, professional and efficient outfit. From the initial survey visit to the works themself and final snagging, Gregg and his team kept us in the loop at every stage (communication was excellent). They treated our home with respect and were courteous and respectful at all times. They kept the environment clean and tidy and did the job to an extremely high standard and on time. We plan more renovations in our home in the coming years and we will definitely be using Gregg and his team again! Get in touchI’ve just had an extension finished by Allan and AAC. Never having had anything like this done before I was anxious about hiring a company and going through the process. Allan came out to the house to see the plans and offered his expertise. He kept me updated every step of the way and made sure I was communicated with about everything. The whole process was very smooth and the job was finished in the time I was given up front. All of the workers were brilliant, on time and kept the place tidy. I would have absolutely no hesitation in using AAC again. I am very pleased with the work that was carried out and am delighted with the finished product. Graham and his team were very professional and easy to work with.
