The extension does look very good and friends and family have said so too. I think the builders were good people and the structure of the extension was built well. There are small bits I think could have been handled or finished better though. There was a disagreement over the position of the traffic door on the bifold doors. The position was amended but we have no magnet to stop the traffic door from swinging. I asked for it to be fixed but emails were ignored. We had some doors hung internally and the latches were not fitted for all of the doors. Alot of wood filler was needed on the doors frames too as the fitter did not do this. The pipes behind the basin in the bathroom are too close to the wall and had to be angled to the taps instead of sitting straight. The toilet cistern is also so close to the wall that the lid doesn't fit properly. The pipe from the washing machine to the outside was very loose and had to be replaced. There was also quite a wait for a grabber truck to come and clear the building waste away. I think the skylight looks great and so does the kitchen, although I was disappointed to be given the quote to fit the kitchen the day before it was done. I felt like we had to have it done and could not shop around to see if we could get a better deal. I would recommend them overall as I think they did a good job on the shell of the extension and use good quality materials. We particularly liked Dave and Nick, who worked methodically and were v nice.

Can’t thank Neil and his team of workman enough for a really professional extension. From start to finish Neil kept us informed at every stage, including liaising with the Building Inspector at MBC. All of the work force were highly skilled and a pleasure to have around - nothing was too much trouble. Clean, tidy and very efficient. Elliott has to be the best decorator/ builder I have used. On time with works and no lies or excuses!!! After posting my job he call me within 30 minutes to arrange a visit. This was the following day. When Elliott arrived he understood my requirements and saw my ideas and advised when he thought from his experience, would work better. He was very polite and professional. I needed the work done within 2 weeks due to carpet being laid. He completed the works within 7 working days. The works involved, Removing a wall, Removing all woodwork, Boxing out pipes, Plastering, New coving, New skirting, New architrave 2 doors, Building an under stair shelving unit, Moving a socket, sky cables, internet box, Removing radiator, Painting of all new plastered walls ceiling and woodwork to my chosen colours. I was even able to get him to squeeze in some additional works. This was creating shelves in my airing cupboard upstairs and boxing out pipes in my hallway. Elliott’s communication throughout the works was great. Even if he was unable to get round my house he would let me know at his earliest opportunity. Very very tidy during works. I have a 3 year old and Elliott made sure it was left safe every night. The finished works are to a high standard and he even popped back to do a bit off snagging on a Saturday morning. When I say snagging it was a few paint marks, re-laying my old carpet and dropping my keys off. I will be using Elliott in the future.
