Fantastic company!!! From start to finish, Philip and his team have been friendly, polite and are clearly very experienced experts at what they do. Excellent industry knowledge enabled them to navigate some unforeseen complications with minimal fuss and cost. Finding a builder can be a very stressful process, as there’s a lot of choice and it’s probably the second biggest investment you’ll make, only second to the actual house itself. They’ve been absolutely brilliant, with almost daily updates on their progress and plans for what they’re going to do next. Made us feel very confident in allowing them to do what they do best without a single worry. Another thing to mention is the sheer speed at which these guys get the job done. Philip makes sure that he throws as many skilled men as he can at each stage of the build to ensure that it’s competed without delay. Does pouring the foundations on the second day on site sound like a great achievement?? It certainly does to me! Would recommend to anyone. Jamie is excellent guy, really quick quote, confident tradesman and did an excellent work installing some very chunky steel beams into our 200 year old, random stone house for a doorway extension. Once steels were in, expertly cut and installed the stone back into reveals. We can’t thank Matthew and the team enough for the build. Great communication throughout and Matthew’s experience and suggestions were welcomed during the initial planning, allowing us to make informed decisions on the final product. Where obstacles were met, they were dealt with swiftly allowing for a much less stressful experience. I contacted A1 builders for a quote on an extension inside kitchen area renovated with new fitted kitchen installed. The quote was fair and we did come into some complications but it was rectified. Overall the job was fine. But noted a couple of issues after completion ,(and payment) but despite several notifications to the contractor, they never returned to correct the issues, and stopped responding. I originally booked multiple building companies for a quote for my home improvements. Carl was friendly on initial meeting and give me good explanation on how best to carry out my project with the maximum impact to use my space. He was very efficient in getting back to me with his quotes and I could clearly see the breakdown of each individual project. The timescales that he recommended were also managed within the given timeframe that was advised. The company was very clean and tidy and always made sure that any rubbish was taken and disposed of the same day.
