I cannot speak highly enough of Sean. He came to see us yesterday and was a model of kindness and professionalism. He very patiently explained all our options to us and used his expertise to go through any difficulties that the work would throw up and to suggest solutions. We particularly appreciated his honesty when it came to pricing up the job. Sean is probably unusual among builders in that he insists on giving you a fixed and final figure for the job, ie. a fixed price that covers everything from the initial groundwork to a completely finished new kitchen. Once this price is agreed, any unforeseen costs will be borne by Sean himself. Unfortunately, although Sean gave us a very fair price, we have decided to go for a more modest kitchen refurb that does not involve building an extension. Nonetheless, it was Sean's expertise and his willingness to patiently explain things to us that enabled us to make this decision.Latest review:Extensions-

A work force able and capable of carrying out all work to a very high standard and completed on or before time. All of my work is fully guaranteed and all materials used are fully guaranteed. I am on site from start to finish on all jobs.
I employed them to complete the renovation of a small utility room - fitting boards, water pipes, new door, windows, levelling floor. The bulk of the job looked OK, but various details were not well finished: the concrete was poured in to level the floor before new brickwork (at floor level) had fully dried, so the brickwork sags outwards and has ugly chunks of cement left behind. New windows were fitted, but the sealant was not applied in a neat manner so the outside of the windows looks scruffy. Cement was mixed over my garden stones without covering them, so I had to throw some away as it looked awful. The job was done in March 2020, and I have had occasional drain issues ever since. I have now been told that the builder connected the waste water pipe to a little soak away drain that is only for rain water running off my porch. They must have known. The drain sometimes flows up and under my porch - causing a smell and creating damp along the side of my house. So I am now looking at paying for remedial works. The only solution that I can see is running a lot of ugly piping right around the house (and through a fence!) to reach the correct drains at the back. If the builder had checked the location of the drains prior to starting the job, this issue wouldn't have arisen - now all the piping/waste exits are badly laid out and no good solutions. Dave has done an amazing job - internal doors fitted, skirting boards, architrave, picture rail, boxing in pipes and a cupboard built around the boiler. He has been able to match up the skirting, picture rail and architrave to the rest of the house and fitted the doors into ill fitting frames, as well as put a door on our cloakroom opening inwards as requested, something we were told could not be done by 2 other joiners. Late review. Ste and the fellas built a wrap-around single storey extension for us in 2021. I can't recommend him highly enough. It wasn't the easiest build due to poor drawings we had from the architect, but Ste went above and beyond to make sure we had the extension that we wanted. Ste and the lads were positive, friendly and always had solutions to any challenges that came up. They also stuck to the original quote as much as possible, despite rising costs of materials at the time (2021). My wife and I worked from home for the entire build (about 4 months start to end), which wasn't ideal, but Ste and lads helped to make it work for us. 3 years on and we're well and truly settled and loving the extension.
