From the first visit when they came to do a site overview to produce the quote they had warned me that there could be some unknowns once we demolish the existing lean-to as there were no registry or plans for how the sewage/water pipes went under the house. Other than the groundwork adaptations which incurred a bit of a cost increase Rowan's quote was adhered to to the penny, in fact, to get the foundations to not interfere with the pipes, my extension ended up being a couple feet bigger and this was not charged extra by Rowan. Scheduling wise, The demolition and extension rebuild to first fix was scheduled for 5 weeks, but I was so impressed with the work i decided to extend the contract all the way to second fix/finished extension - including decorations, all in all the whole project took about 8 weeks, which considering I kept them on till the decorating was finished is inline with the original schedule. I would like to particularly thank the guys who spent the longest on my site: James and Simon as they were very patient and informative and had to put up with my dog disturbing them the most, but also thank to Graeme, Cossie, Scarfy, Mick, Dave and John for all the work they did, and to Mike and David for coordinating the whole project. i would recommend Rowan to anyone that is looking for a 'one stop firm' to do a whole project without having any stress of managing it yourself, and most of all at a good price!

A Great Job by Martin's friendly team. He built a new wooden floor, plastered the walls and extended the heating pipes and electrics for my extension . He's a good communicator and always listens to my requests to make sure the job was completed to my satisfaction. I would easily recommend him.

Dion was simply fantastic. He responded to my ad super quick, arrived on time and came to my rescue in less than 24 hours. He was so polite and well mannered. Even when he needed to trim the bottoms of the doors for a second time, he took it in his stride. Top floor flat and really heavy doors. Wouldn’t hesitate in using Dion again. Pete first came to do a couple of simple building jobs (adding a loft hatch and levelling a crooked wooden floor) and did such a good job that I ended up using him to completely renovate my entire property, and for many additional projects since. His work is excellent - he's punctual and reliable, trustworthy, and very fairly priced. Quotes are accurate, and he's very fair if and when costs or specifications change along the way for any reason. He can undertake the majority of building tasks himself but also has an excellent list of contacts he can call on for any very specialised elements - so he can manage larger projects as well as doing smaller jobs. He has a very broad knowledge of all sorts of traditional and modern construction techniques, and overall I'd definitely recommend him for any projects large or small.
