Latest review:Damp Proofing-We had an upstairs bedroom replastered but found that the plaster wouldn't dry in a patch on the chimney breast. We posted the job on MyBuilder and were contacted by Homeshield. We sent photos of the damp patch, explaining that we didn't know what the problem was. Homeshield sent someone to investigate the problem. They told us that the chimney needed repointing and flashing. We paid them £450 to do this, believing that this would solve the problem. Months later, there had been no improvement. We contacted Homeshield, who sent someone else to investigate. This person told us that the problem was salt damp and nothing to do with the chimney. As we had paid Homeshield a large amount of money, including extra for insurance, for an inappropriate solution, we asked them to carry out the necessary work to resolve the problem. They refused. We have since had two more builders investigate the chimney. They both told us that we had been ripped off. One said that Homeshield had done, and I quote, "sweet FA", and recommended that we contact Trading Standards (this will have to wait for the New Year). We absolutely would not recommend this company at all.

Latest review:Full Kitchen refurbishment on large kitchen diner. The work which Stephen carried out was exceptional my kitchen has been totally transformed, steves attention to detail was second to none. I probably was not the best customer as I kept changing my mind it was great to have Steves input, he certainly didn't go for the easy option nor the most expensive. I decided midway through that I wanted an island with electric, this was no trouble and Steve delivered a bespoke island as requested which Im absolutely thrilled with. Steve is very professional he always turned up with the right equipment meaning he very rarely left site, after each day he always cleaned up after himself and packed his tools away in evening never leaving it in my way. Steve was very well mannered never spoke any bad language, everyday he would park his very professional and clean looking van on my drive Steve also was very well turned out. Steve was very reliable if he said he would be here at 9am then he would be and would not leave before 5, some days he would be here much later.

Latest review:Damp Proofing-Chris was friendly, knowledgeable and reliable. He knows his stuff and quoted a reasonable price for the job. He also gave me some good advice on the interior problem, which hopefully should avoid having to spend loads more. I wouldn't hesitate to employ him again or recommend him.
