True to his word he arrived with a fellow workman at 8.50am and set to work. The gutters hadn’t been cleared for 4 years and were packed with leaves and living plants! Get in touchThrough no fault of the company hired the job was cancelled due to no response from my neighbour over access to their garden. Being a conjoined property my roof on one side of our house overlooks this neighbours garden. Our roof guttering butts right up to their property wall and a certain amount of overflow on heavy rainy days has caused staining on their wall. I was asked to slightly shorten our gutter to amend this problem. As these neighbours keep two pit bull type dogs we needed to ensure they would be kept indoors while our contractor entered their garden to reach my gutter. I called on these neighbours twice to arrange a date and access ( they were in both times) they did not answer the door bell. Their doorbell is a speaking one and lt asked me to leave a message each time l called l did so but no one came to open the door. Get in touchThe job has been filled with hidden charges from start to finish we were originally quoted a totally different price to what we have ended up paying with no communication throughout the job to explain these hidden costs. Gareth charged £30 for sealent and glue surely if you need materials the client should be told what is needed and how much it will cost onto the job? As these materials could have been provided to you by ourselves when asked for receipts there were none to show. Gareth also charged £20 to install corner posts to units that were provided by us instead of hinges again with no communication that this is an extra cost., as having had kitchens fitted before i have never come across this that joiners charge extra to put on corner posts or hinges! The original quote Gareth quoted included all working appliances, but again once the job was complete we were charged £60 for the gas hob installation this again with no communication given to us about this until the job was complete so we had no idea this would be an extra cost! The job should have taken a week but due to Gareths “disappearing acts” it has taken 4 weeks. Whenever Gareth was left alone to do the job he would disappear he never did a full days work and popped in now and again for an hour or so until the job was complete. Guttering Installer in BurnleyI am a self employed joiner/plumber/handyman. After many years of house restoration and varied work, i currently contract to a local Marina for general maintenance, jetty repair, minor electrical and grounds keeping. I am competent in most everyday DIY tasks including things like composite decking, cladding, window fitting, shed building etc. I pride myself that the finished product is something I would have I my house and having retired from the mainstream am not overly priced.
