Obtained 3 quotes and selected Nathan after he visited the site and reviewed work and had conversation. Waited 2 weeks for him to become available and on first day contacted me to say he was pulling off the job. Apparently the door frames of this 1920's house required him to do much remedial work to get them square - primarily Nathan blàmed the plasterer who had overboarded the walls. Walls were passed for payment by two separate surveyors with over 80 years experience of the contruction industry. While it is accepted there were remedial efforts to make the frames square, this is to be expected on a house of this age - and perhaps this is where Nathan lacks experience. If Nathan had wanted to outline additional work and additional money this was open to negotiation - the most unprofessional thing is to turn up on the day of work starting and say you don't have time to do any additional work - especially as the job had been viewed before the work commenced. Didn't want to damage his reputation by providing "sub-standard work", but seemingly oblivious to the reputational damage of letting a customer down at the last minute. I have my doubts as to whether Nathan has the skills to work on houses of this age.

Had to kick him off the job as his work was shocking in every sense . Advertised himself as a qualified electrician and a member of a professional body which was a lie Bare wiring left that electrocuted our dog New bits of cable joined to old 1970s wiring DO NOT USE ! Caused more damage to the property and ended up having to get in a proper electrician A convincing conman .
