We engaged NB Building Services to build an extension (new garage and room at the rear) and extensively refurbish/remodel a bungalow. I met a number of builders/building contractors but I felt immediately comfortable with Nick right from the start. It was the first time we were ever starting such a project and we wanted to follow our instinct and go with someone we could be comfortable with over the duration of the project. Right from the start Nick came across as someone who is genuine and who looks to understand your requirements. Also, as my project had a few uncertainties that could affect the scope of the project I was looking for some flexibility and I felt that Nick and his team could provide that. Nick and his team (Stefan, Boris and Ilco) work very well together as a cohesive team. Nick provided a day-to-day customer contact while scheduling tasks on the building site and coordinating material deliveries. Every member of the team worked a full day and on occasions where it was important to finish something on the day, they would stay late to finish the job. What impressed me most when the work started is that the entire team is multiskilled – they do everything from bricklaying, timberwork, roofing, plaster/skimming etc. This helped me immensely when there were minor changes or modifications. That meant we didn’t have to wait for the bricklayer or plasterer to return to the site again. Nick also operated the heavy machinery like digger/breaker etc. Once the initial structure was complete the team again impressed me with their attention to detail when they moved inside to lay down plumbing, electrical wires, gas pipes etc. Nick and Stefan took the lead on the fine finishing tasks inside while Boris and Ilco provided important support and completed a lot of other tasks inside and out. It was during this critical phase when communication is most important that I appreciated Nick’s effort to keep us informed. As far as quality of work is concerned while we were happy with everything, I think the tiling work of both Nick and Stefan is outstanding. Our project lasted for about 8 months and while there were lots of discussions on areas of the project that I did not understand and I asked a lot of questions and also changed my mind on some things I don’t remember I we ever even had a minor argument. This I felt was an important win. Nick was also generous with his time and provided help to other trades who came on site e.g. window fitters, garage door installers; boiler installers; electricians etc. Nick and his team returned a few months later to lay down a patio with porcelain tiles for us and also a driveway with block paving. Once again Nick and his team discussed with us in detail what we wanted and provided suggestions based on their experience.

I cannot recommend John from Pacho Create Ltd highly enough. I'm a very particular client with high standards, I was impressed by his care, patience, and professionalism throughout. He clearly takes pride in delivering quality work and paid close attention to every detail. Living in a small flat, I was concerned about dust, but John proactively created a solution to minimise disruption, which I really appreciated. He also gave excellent advice on budget-friendly waterproofing products. Not happy with, he was told to sand down paint on metal spiral staircase in the garden. Since I couldnt check before dried out I noticed paint peeling off, plant broken, garden door with spot of pain .Since I was short woth paint je went and bought another tin of paint which is primarily for wood. Proce tag £200 without paint, borough brush from me and roller

John has done a great job refurbishing my house with his team. The work consisted of rebuilding part of the foundations of the house, laying new flooring throughout, installing a new kitchen and refitting a small bathroom. The quote was very precise on day-1, the work was completed swiftly with a full crew on site every day, even on Saturdays and communication with John was first class throughout the process. Valter was very impressive on his initial visit with some exciting ideas for the house improvements and we had no hesitation in choosing Happy Building above the other two building firms who quoted. Having signed off on the budget and scope of work, Valter's team of builders arrived. We were hugely impressed with the skill, experience and work ethic of the team; the fact that they arrived early each morning smiling underlined the "Happy Building" epithet; Jarek, the site foreman, had an especially cheery demeanour. The work involved stripping the walls back to bricks, removing walls, reinforcing foundations, plastering, extending the bathroom and removing one bedroom to create a large ensuite bedroom. The latter certainly would not have been done without Valter's vision and patience in explaining how it would look. We were able to deviate from the original plans without any problem which was very important in achieving the final look which we had desired. Valter was very careful in sticking to time and budgets which I had never experienced before with builders. The kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms, living room and hallways were finished to the highest possible specification within our budget. There were one or two small features which, with hindsight, we would have improved such as door handles and shower fittings, however this was down to us not specifying exactly what we wanted. These are very minor details and a tiny part of the overall picture.
