Agreed with Chris to brick up a couple of windows and create a new opening, estimated to take 3 days. He turned up on day one, worked half a day, then didn’t return due to van issues. A week later, he messaged to say he could come back, but due to limited communication, I chose not to continue. The main issue was that the original quote wasn’t itemised, so when trying to agree a price for the completed work, it became difficult. I felt the amount he was demanding didn’t fairly reflect the work completed, leading to a lot of back and forth. The work he did was satisfactory, but my advice to anyone hiring Chris is to ensure you get a detailed, broken-down quote so there’s clarity on what each part of the job costs.

Having been let down by another builder, I had my living room ceiling plastered by David Walters who was able to do it at very short notice which really suited my plans. It has now been painted and looks great - could have been a bit neater around the central light fitting but overall I'm happy with the result and price and would definitely use again for a plastering job. Would recommend.
